Independence Games 2003 - FINAL SCORES

The dust has settled over the Independence Games battlefield and the fireworks have burnt out. Here's the final scores, fresh from the judges' tables:

OVERALL WINNER individual: DJM Arania Lawakiro - 7 first, 2 second and 4 third places. 23 events participated.
Second place individual: KP Dalthid - 4 first, 5 second and 2 third places. 19 events participated.
Third place individual: KPN Betja Jun - 2 first, 5 second and 3 third places. 17 events participated.

Side note: The three individual highest medal winners were also, in the same order, the three most active participants. Consistency pays off!

OVERALL WINNER Clans: Satal Keto - 13 first, 12 second and 9 third places.
Second place Clans: Arcona - 9 first, 5 second and 5 third places.
Third place Clans: Taldryan - 5 first, 6 second and 7 third places.

Honorable mention goes to Clan Exar Kun who, with a minimum crew, managed 5th place in the Clans department, behind the big three and the Dark Council, beating out three substantially larger Clans in the process.

My special thanks go to all the many folks who've helped these games by running an event - things went incredibly smoothly considering we had 40 people working together.
Very special thanks to GM Firefox who gave me the chance of trying out this format in a time of turmoil.

All results, winning submissions and the chronicle of the games will remain archived at the Independence Games site for posterity. There you'll also find some further placings on the top scorers list and the entire Clan rankings for the games.

See you for the Independence Games 2004 - that is if you all want a repeat performance (with a bit more planning and organization)!

I think everyone will agree that the Independance Games were a roaring success and I for one, am looking forward to next years (esepcially so I can take a more active roll as a participant!).

Many thanks Kaiann, many thanks indeed.
