Current Ops

</td> </tr> <tr> <td>The holiday has passed and the necessities of RL will be dwindling down today - which means everything will be fired back up in the ACC - at least until the Christmas insanity hits.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>The 3rd round of the 2nd CHL is running!!</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>ACCLive! Has entered a new phase of promotion! The prospect of ** "Double Awarding"** has been approved by the GM and DGM. From now until the end of November, combatants can gain 2 CF's per win and 2 CF's per every two losses via ACCLive!. SO GO PLAY!! *Tues, Thurs and Sunday Tournament in #acc.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Also, I have been toying with the idea of giving ACCLive! over to the * Clans - or, at least, allowing them the freedom to control battles on their own. It is in 'thought' right now, but if there's an interest, I'd like to know. Mail me if you have any input.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Cleaning The Combat Master -- .::November 6th - November 19th: Competition Run Time::. -- The competition has ended and I will be getting to the awarding and rating in a day or two.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>

Staff

</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Not much on the staff front this week... 'cept for a couple of LoA's. I think we're all back for the most part, but I'll let this ride for another day or two.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Warhunter has left us to pay more attention to his role in his Clan, good luck!</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>

Reminders

</td> </tr> <tr> <td>- Echani as a fighting style has been taken up by the Commander of the Guard where it's 'approval' is concerned. The CM/DCM will no longer process approvals or declinations for this style, rather, should you wish to be approved for its use - please seek the counsel of the CoG.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>- The** Force Pool System** has been released - combatants with battles that started on or after the 1st of Nov should see an OOC in their intros. You can find the FP System information here.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>- Concerning time-outs: If you know you're going to be LoA, you need to "officially" request a battle extension, even if I know you're going to be gone. You MUST mail the CM, DCM _and your opponent with the request BEFORE your battle times out. If your opponent says "no"... tough luck, if you "forget" to send your request in time, to those mentioned... tough luck. "Acts of God" and unavoidable instances will be considered - but they will not replace poor planning on your part.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>- To have a competition 'set up' through the ACC, the coordinators need to mail the CM or the DCM. Once all the specifics of the competition (to include awards) have been worked out, the CM or DCM will submit the competition FOR YOU! This is to cut down on the last-minute "hey, remember that competition I told you about 5 months ago and haven't brought up with you since... yea, well... it's starting tomorrow..." stuff. This way, we can track your competitions and make sure they get set up properly and in a timely manner - "forgetting" about it becomes our fault, not yours. _</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>

Tip Of The Week

</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Battle Locations</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Yes, it's true, we have A LOT of locations you can choose from - it's also true that 'unknown locations' are still used as well and that's okay. Your location/terrain can be pivotal to a battle - don't forget about it!! Even when you challenge, if you're opponent has an allergy or impediment that can be capitalized upon by terrain selection - go for it!! Too many of you are stuck in this 'fairness' thing, despite the fact that we are "Dark Jedi" - truth is: you CAN'T be "unfair" in the ACC...it's impossible! Case in point: You select a terrain that puts you at a severe advantage - amidst the cries of "that's unfair" - but, guess what? It's actually harder on you. First of all, the opponent has to actually accept the challenge - so, if they do, tough luck...right? However, you have set yourself up with such an advantage that you get stuck having to write a harder battle. Things like realism, and continuity can be severely hindered when you have an advantage and don't know how to use it - while being on the 'short end of the stick' can be a writer's blessing. Anyway, where was I? Terrain, right! Don't forget about the landscape and the entirety of the environment, if you get stuck with a "dry" fighting scenario - your salvation can be a few great lines about the terrain!</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Anyway, until next week - have a good one!</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" width="90%" bordercolorlight="#1B1B1B" bordercolordark="#000000" id="table2"> <tr> <td>DA Dalthid</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Combat Master</td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>
