After some consultations with the Dark Council and Clan leaders we've decided to change the names of the higher ranks of both the Obelisk and the Sith.
From now on the ranks for the Obelisk will be (starting right after Dark Jedi Knight) Obelisk Champion, Obelisk Sentinel, Obelisk Crusader and Obelisk Templar.
And for the Sith they will be (again right after Dark Jedi Knight) Sith Warrior, Sith Warmaster, Sith Warlord and Sith Overlord.
These changes are effective immediately. And Jac wanted me to tell you all that he had been a dumbass all those years ago for making the rank names of both the Obelisk and the Sith identical. :P

Im sorry I hate it.
But I guess it will grow on me perhaps. I liked the Obelisk ranks as they were, and rather see the Sith ones get changed. Thats just my 2 cents. I know I should of posted on the MB but I felt I had to put it here.

Name changes? Ehh...why? The new Sith names sound okay, but the Obby ones are horribly shitty. No offense intended, Jac. :P
It's nice that they're unique, but I have some outstanding issues with some of the individual names:
Obelisk Champion? That's cute. It would make a lovely title for after a GJW. But as a rank? I don't think it's appropriate.
Obelisk Crusader is downright wrong. As long as Crusader is a GMRG rank, I think that's a conflict. Same deal for Sentinel.
I like the new Sith names, and Obelisk Templar strikes me as being quite cool, but I think we should change:
Templar is cool, though. I stick by that. ;)
As with any change it will take time to adjust to. So we'll see but IMO if the GMRG were active & alive i could see the conflict it would cause but,, as a former member of the GMRG it has died a slow death so many times why is it still here?

I don't really see the problem with the GMRG clash myself, I mean, what's more important? The GMRG ranks, or the Obelisk ranks?
I personally would say the Obelisk, the GMRG is rather dead currently, and when it gets revamped we'll just have to do some more brainwork in thinking up some decent titles there.
Still, I'm rather pleased with the Sith changes, but then again, I came up with those rank names, so I suppose I would like it :P
As for the Obelisk, out of the couple of week long discussion in which I'm quite sure I bored most of the Dark Council to death with my endless emails, they were the best that we could think up. Though, that said, I'm sure that if any of you Obelisk members dislike them and can think up some better titles that the Council would be happy to consider altering the Obelisk ranks slightly, again :)
Having thought about it, I realized I was advocating change to the GMRG ranks anyway. Crusader and Sentinel make good ranks, although Battlemaster and Battlelord were better.
I think the Sith names are lovely, but the Obelisk names should go:
Warrior - Crusader
Battlemaster (STAYS)
Battlelord (STAYS)
Warlord - Templar

They've been changed Magey, you'll have to live with em... the DC and CONs all discussed this matter in almost 100 emails/MB posts, trust me... we saw it through, and your CON/PCON had the chance to speak for you, and they did... so now you will just have to learn to love them.
I for one don't like the Sith ranks, but The only change I'll be looking at getting is the Overlord Abbreviation :P

Eh... Warmaster sounds... stupid. Battlemaster just has a better ring to it. Warlord and Overlord are cool though. Who cares? Out of sights out of minds says us {/jk2 chiss}
Just dont touch the damn Krathy ranks or we will all stab you violently with pens that burn with a thousand evils!!! :P
