This is your OHC report for this week.
I am reporting for the OHC, due to his LOA.
There was lots of things happenning this week.
Friday July 11 saw the return of the OHC Cup. There was a good turn out and with lots of CFs awarded.
As usual the intertraining event was held in #Outerrim.
This Saturday will be an OHC Tourney in #Obelisk, See posted news for details.
New Obelisk Ranks.
The 2 orders Sith and Obelisk had a few rank changes.
By the looks of things the Sith order likes their new ranks, but unfortuantly for the majority, we do not.
There is a lot of talk on what should be the new ones. So E-mail Jac with your ideas on the new ranks.
Khobai will be returning on the 22nd.

I have a major complaint.
All of these tournaments are held on est times. And these times are always always way out of european time. They're either 6am in the morning or 1 am. I can't win. I'd really love to participate in all these fantastic tournaments, but because all the times are outrageuous, and I'm only 16 so when my parents tell me to go to bed, I have to go. And I'd like some help whenever I join obelisk or scholae for these apparent tournaments and post questions, no one ever replies, it's like you're all dead or half a sleep, frankly all I can say is catch a wake up please.
I believe the Obelisk High Commander, Khobai, will be instating a European Obelisk Tournament (that will be held weekly) once he returns from his leave so don't worry about that.
Actually he might be looking for someone to host something of the sort. Rewards and Promotions would probably be given to such a person...Write up a small proposal and e-mail it to him if you want, it might help speed up the process and get you a promotion or medal along the way, eh? :)
That's not possible, as I said I'm 16 and I doubt my dad will give me money to run a server to play on. I think not.
Hey I'm only 17 myself. You don't need to run a server, to host an Obelisk Tournament. We actually have people working on Dedicated DB Servers as I type this which should be up in the next few weeks, if they aren't already.
There's alot of public servers DBers play on anyways, and then there's always oldschool TCP/IP. Hosting a Tournament is a bit different. It was just a suggestion anyways. :)
I'll e-mail the OHC's Praetor and see what the deal is on Euro Melees so you and other people from England and that region can participate in DB Events are more suitable times. Peace.
The only reason Im making them in the EST format is b/c the times I set are times Ill be able to host the ecents. 3pm est is 1pm my time. 2 hour diference.
Secondly the only reason I asked for a couple ppl to host a server is b/c we do not have one, and unfotunatly people cannot connect to my servers.
Lastly I htink its a good idea to impliment some sort of better way for our Euro frineds to be able to play in a comp. I work on that ASAP.
Is it possible to state the times, in gmt format as gmt is 0 and much easier to work out what our times would be, as anyone from any other country. I live in France no england. And I still don't know what you mean by hosting a tournament? Hosting a server? Creating a tournament?
Ok, Ill have to do some figuring out for your time thre, but as to your other questions.
Show up in #Obelisk to sign up for the JK2 tourney. You will then be pitted against someone to fight. If you win your match you will move on to the next round. Secondly basically hosting a server. Is so that people can play JK2 period. You may if you want to just play on your opponenents server or yourself. but sometimes that can be really laggy.
You dont need to worry about creating a tournament. The tourney is already set up. Just have to show up in #Obelisk on Saturday, 1 hour after the DB meeting. (that is if the DB meeting starts at 2pm EST, thus making it 12 pm here.

Blane, the CSP Invitational hasn't started yet. It starts August first, and runs the entire month. So ask around starting in August, you'll get a response then.
