Dinaari AED Report 4/2/06 pt1

After every AWOL check there is always a sadness of seeing the House numbers drop as some names disappear from the roster. Yet this is a necessary evil ...and necessary evils are the Dark Side's speciality.

Do not lose sleep over those we lost or will lose in the future due to inactivity. For all those who escaped the cull this is an exciting time. We can now move forwards with all of you active people at the forefront of this progress.

With this new focus expect to see many changes all for your benefit.

PRT Apollyon "Odium" Dinaarius promoted to Guardian

I've always considered making Guardian as being a milestone promotion. Guardian means that you're fully integrated into the DJB, know your way around and have the enthusiasm to look for activity yourself wherever you may find it.

So congratulations to Odium on making GRD. Odium's participation levels have been exemplary and is a regular on the message boards and IRC (although sadly for me at a time when I'm usually asleep!). We hope to see more great things from you from here on in :o)

Promotion Requirements

Envoy DJM Pyralis has taken the time to heavily revise the Dinaari promotion requirements for Initiate to Dark Jedi Knight (another reason why he gets the cool DJM rank). While the requirements are no more easier than before, some of the later ranks are now harder to get actually, a lot of the unnecessary or near unattainable requirements have been removed to be replaced by tasks more suiting the current state of the DJB.

Remember that the promotion guide is just that ...a guide. Other activity is looked at too but this guide is recommended to make sure you get all you can out of the DJB and is preferred by the Clan/House summits when considering promotions as it shows you've had a rounded DJB experience.

In the CON Comp Strikes Back! (Caption Event) First Place goes to OE freshjive taldrya winning a Crescent with Emerald Star (E). Second Place goes to GRD Apollyon "Odium" Dinaarius winning a Crescent with Topaz Star (T). Congratulations to both! While Ektrosis's KE Bubbles got 3rd place I still think we showed that Dinaari members have a better comic touch than those in Ektrosis.

House Competition Winners

In the QUA Office Competition First place was taken my DJK Werdna gaining him a Crescent with Sapphire Star (S). Second place went to DJM Pyralis along with a shiny Crescent with Emerald Star (E). ACO Tyfarius rounded it all off at third getting him a Crescent with Topaz Star (T).

SWL Syn Kaek is Ye Old Englishe King-e. That wins him a Crescent with Quartz Star (Q).

The winners of Sunday's emailed Tal Trivia are ACO Cypher371, PRT James Revan and DJK Werdna Elbee. Each get a Legion of the Scholar (LS) award.

Activity

This is of course, all the tangible activity records, and doesn't take into account things like other DJB work, time spent on the chat rooms, etc ...but we do notice that stuff too ...promise!

Interclub Training Event (ICTE) : Multiplayer ALL Platforms

Every Saturday in #outerrim between noon and midnight (EST). That's 5pm til 5am for those of you on GMT.

ALL Star Wars platforms are used. Please read the website before you first compete...there is a signup bot that must be used to arrange matches and the site will explain how to use it.

Tuesday and Thursday Multiplayer Gaming : All Platforms

If you go to #gmrg on a Tuesday (1am til 11.59pm EST ...all day) you'll find a solo multiplayer night for 1v1s and in #gmrg on a Thursday (all day again) for team-based multiplayer (CTF, 2v2, etc).

There is no signup bot in #gmrg ...just get chatting to arrange a match yourself.

Always on offer is the ACC where you can go kick some ass in a friendly 1v1 run-on. There are quite a few Shadow Academy courses about ACC that you'll have to do first, so you can set up your character sheet, learn the rules and do a training match before you get into the complicated world of ACC proper.
