Report #2 - February 5, 2006**
Heres a fun-filled report for you all to enjoy. This week we have lots of news, projects, competitions, and other random things to go over.

Member-Status Checks Over
They are over, yes indeed. Didnt call it an AWOL Check there since Im doing more than just looking at who replied and who didnt. Today I will be going over the lists from the Houses as well as checking activity trackers and members dossiers. Those that show no signs of activity in the recent months and no sign of future activity will be removed from the Clan. If you are removed and do decide to start being activity again, by all means come back home to Taldryan! Right now we want to start of with a fresh, clean roster in the hopes we can breathe new life into our current numbers and focus on developing well rounded and active new members.
New Squadron Names
The Amazing Squadron Naming Comp ended and the polls are complete. We had 6 members of House Dinaari and 6 members of House Ektrosis give suggestions for our ships. And the final results are:
1st = Spectre (by Odium) with 11 votes
2nd = Katarn (by Dark Sabre) with 8 votes
3rd = Ascendancy by (James Revan) with 4 votes
If you check the Possessions page of the Taldryan website, you will see our A-wings will go down as Spectre Squadron and our fourth Tie Interceptor Squadron will be called Katarn. Ascendancy will be our next Squadron to come along whenever we acquire new ships. Congrats to the winners and thanks to everyone for all the suggestions. Ive archived them all and we will use them for future additions.
CON Comp 1-1 & 1-2
The second event of The CON Comp Strikes Back! started the other day. This time we have a two-word run-on going on the forums. Things have already gotten pretty crazy. We are up to about 400 replies with almost a week left to go. Check it out and have some fun.

The first event ended Wednesday and the winners have already been rewarded. We had 13 members participate in this, 5 from Dinaari and 7 from Ektrosis. Here are the winning captions for your viewing pleasure. Awesome captions overall, thanks everyone.

Taldryan Carnage
The JO/JA team madness is over. Sadly, we didnt have that many matches here. Anyways, the results are as follows with the awards listed. Congrats to them for pwnage! =P

New Cohors Praetoria Taldryae
Finally we have new members added to the Consul's Honor Guard. Congrats to Menace of House Ektrosis and James Revan of House Dinaari. Both have been very active this past month or so and deserved to be recognized by the entire Clan for their hard work. Thank you both for everything, excellent stuff!
In the past the Guard hasnt really done much besides honor those active in the Clan. Im going to try and change that by giving new Guards an assignment while they server. Also, the terms will now be a month long instead of two weeks. Menace and James- look out for an email from me in the next few days with more information on this.
Taldryan Codex and Website Update
Ive updated everything on the Codex besides Actual Clan History and Possessions. Ill have those fixed soon. The Clan and House Summits will be talking about our Planets and System this week so updating there will come. We may open parts of that to you the members to join in.
The timelines, possessions, Consuls Honor Guard, and competitions pages have been updated on the main site. Ill be working on getting a CON History and CON Plans page updated. Ben is working on some awesome stuff to allow us to store all kinds of member created content on the website so look out for that sometime down the road as well.
House Dinaari Promotion Standards
Recently House Dinaari has changed their Promotion Guidelines that were in desperate need of updating. No longer are their time requirements stamped on every rank, no more are their specific things that dont really help new members, its all much more informative and beneficial now. Keep in mind, it is still just a guide to promotion, all kinds of activity are still looked at and will help you get promoted. None of these changes bring down the usual Taldryan high standards, they actually make them better. Major thanks go out to Dinaari Envoy Pyralis for all his hard work, also many thanks for the House Summit working with him.

Additional Shadow Academy Courses
I mentioned the AIM Exam, Safe Computing Exam, and Leadership Fundamentals Exam in my last report. This week Spears announced two more courses. They are Sith Alchemy and Lightsaber Basics. You can check these out as well as plenty others on the SA website.

Pyralis promoted to DJM!
Our very own Pyralis has been promoted to the very prestigious rank of Dark Jedi Master this past week. Pyralis has been in the Dark Brotherhood for more than 8 years, hes been from one Clan to another, one position to another, and today still active in several spots. Hes been instrumental in the new Dark Council layout and the Leadership Manuals for all DB positions that is a work in progress. Besides that and other major DB things, he spends much time working with the newest member of House Dinaari as one of our Envoys. In all the work Ive seen and that I havent seen, Pyralis truly does deserve this promotion and all of our thanks.

-- Competitions and Such
Ive added on the monthly writing events that the KHP use to run now under the direction of the Deputy Grand Master. Ive also added two writing competitions, one for House Ektrosis and one that is Clan-wide. QUA Office has finished and been rewarded by QUA Kraval. Bounty Hunters is over and should be rewarded by Chaos or someone in Ektrosis soon.

Thats all I have for you at the moment. Lots of things to cover, I know. Ill probably send out another email in a day or two about a few more things. The Member-Status Checks will be fully completed once I send an email off to the MAA about who to remove, that will be either today or Monday at the latest.
Im happy to say we have writing events going on, the usual gaming events, some more gaming related stuff coming soon, lots of active members, and a dedicated staff that is just getting started on pushing Taldryan to new highs. We are always busy working on things and the farther along we go, the more we will be putting into action.

_Regular Multiplayer Gaming Events -
Tuesday 1v1 Night
Multiplayer gaming night that will be held all day Tuesday in #gmrg. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Tuesdays are "solo" nights; meaning 1 vs. 1 games will be played, but anything goes really. Signup bots will not be used; you have to find matches by chatting in #gmrg or messaging people on IRC. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses.
Thursday Team Night
Multiplayer gaming night that will be all day Thursday in #gmrg. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Thursdays are "team" nights, meaning matches can be played with at least teams of 2 vs. 2, but anything goes really. Signup bots will not be used; you have to find matches by chatting in #gmrg or messaging people on IRC. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses.
Interclub Training Event
Multiplayer gaming night that will be held every Saturday evening in #outerrim. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Players come from DB and allied online gaming groups. Signup bots will be used, so use the !signup command on IRC to get matches in #outerrim. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses. Biweekly Sunday Tournament
Those people who participate in at least one match in the above listed weekly multiplayer competitions will be invited to play every other week in a Tournament on Sunday. There isn't any specific structure, you just play as many matches as you would like and the person with the most wins during the day wins the Tournament. Everyone gets points for any matches they play that they can use to buy personal possessions, and the total of all the points Taldryan members earn the Clan also earns as a whole to buy cool Clan stuff!
