My second week as Proconsul, and I'm happy to report that I'm getting a handle on things. There's a lot going on at the Summit levels, but it seems like people are more than happy to jump in and volunteer their time and energy to help the Clan out in many ways. That's what makes a Clan successful, people that are highly active and commited to making the Clan stronger! Keep up the great work everyone. :)

I'm happy to report that all of the links to the Clan have been updated, and our resident Webmaster is doing a good job on updating the Clan website as he continues to plug away at coding the remaining pages.

ICTE and ACC activity seems to be continuing to increase, and that is something any Clan Summit member is proud to report. I myself have recently joined the ranks of the ACC and will hopefully get the change soon to complete my training and become a "Seeker". If you are new to the DJB, I highly encourage you to go join up and participate in these exciting events. Lots of awards and recognition to go with the activity. :)

I'd like to remind everyone that we have a channel on IRC (#plagueis). We often see a lot of activity in the channel, but if your new and want to get to know your fellow clansmen better, here's where you can do it. If you don't have an IRC program, there are a variety of places to get it. The most common is http://www.mirc.com, where you can download the program for free. Go get it today and join us on the Undernet server!

Speaking of IRC, soon there will be a new IRC Clan policy released to combat the recent problems plaguing our channel. The CON will have more on this when he's ready to release the new policy.

Like other forms of activity, I want to remind the Clan that the Shadow Academy has some great courses in the offering. It never hurts to learn something new and broaden your horizons as a Dark Jedi.

I'd like to ask the House Summits to begin doing a weekly review of their personnel to ensure that promotions aren't being missed, especially amongst he apprentice level ranks. Ensuring that our newer members, as well as our older ones, are promoted in a timely fashion is the surest way to guarantee a higher retention rate. Not to mention that it also encourages more future activity from those members, which is always an added bonus. :)

Congratulations to KAP Vithril Isradia Kunar on his recent appointment as the new Clan Envoy. Virthril is off to a great start, and has already submitted the first draft for the new Clan Envoy System (CES). I'm going to read over it today and submit my changes or additions, and then the CON will go over both and decide what works and doesn't work. We hope to see the CES released fairly soon.

During the next week I'm going to begin plotting out a series of competitions to run throughout the year. After the CON has weighed in and provided his input, the competitions will be submitted for approval and released. The competitions will involve a wide variety of activities, and my current plan is to run 2-3 a month at minimum to help people keep busy and not have the opportunity to complain about the lack of things to do. Coupled with the House activities and various other DB-wide activities, Clan Plagueis should stay very active from now on. ;)

I've been tasked by the CON to create a monthly "Scholar of the Month" program to reward those that have been highly active at the Shadow Academy each month. I'm going to setup the program so that plenty of awards are given out each month. Hopefully more courses will come out at the Shadow Academy so that we can keep this program actively running every month. :P

In an attempt to make our team a more military oriented organization,

I discovered the fact that there is no logo for our team! It is your

objective to create a logo for our team. With that, we need one!

This Logo would no doubt be worn during all of our team activities!

I give you free creative reign in regards to the design. As a minor

stipulation, however, I would like the complexity of the image to remain

fairly low. Remember, Requiem is a military arm of our house, not a fancy

celebratory guild!

I've posted the first post of the new house run-on here:

I look forward to seeing the creativity that you guys have and where

you take this story. Kromtal and I will be making sure that things

basically stay on track, but monitor yourself and make sure you stay

on course with what everyone else is writing.

I plan on letting this run until it comes to an end, so it's up to you

guys how long this lasts. At the end I will be awarding the top three

members who overall make the best contributions to the run-on. They

will receive Crescents for their hard work. Also, we're gonna pick

out the best individual post overall. This person will receive

something, but I'm not quite sure yet what that will be.

I hope this is fun and if you have questions let me know. Oh, the

first few posts might be a little short until we see who's all on

board and then I'll give my orders, which will speed things up. Just

thought you guys should know that.
