Welcome to the Exar's Shadow Battle Team War Report: Version 2! Like my last report, this is a special one for a number of reasons; first Famosus was nice enough to create another set of graphics for my lovely reports and second because the war is underway. There will be a lot more information on that later on, though. For now, I declare this report officially started!

~ I must say these past few weeks have been the busiest weeks during my time as commander. Half of our members contributed to the team in some way or another, and for that, I congratulate you all. We also gained two new members, but Vasily isn't too sure about how active he will be in the DB right now. Our second new member, however, is one of the most active people I have ever seen.

~ Jaysen Erdon joined the DB less then one week ago, and has already been promoted up to the rank of Protector. He has completed six Shadow Academy courses, placed second in a war event, and shown great IRC presence. For that, I have decided to give him a special congratulation, as well as a two-year supply of virtual beer!

~ Our beloved Headmaster Spears has stepped down after being in his position for so long. In his place has stepped Anshar, who I am sure will introduce many new changes to the Shadow Academy. I also encourage you all to participate in gaming nights to earn Cluster of Fires, as well as join societies like the Grand Master’s Royal Guard.

~ The Exar Kun Battle Team War that has been in the works since I became commander as finally started, and is currently in a bonus event. So far, two events have concluded, and points and medals for those events have been released. I'm proud to say that we are dominating the war right now with 21 War Points while our rival team is at 5 War Points. It's still early on, though, and they could easily catch up, so let's keep up the strong activity we've had so far in this huge competition.

~ Congratulations to Famosus, Galaphile, Dorn, Virulence, and Erdon all of whom have placed in one of the two events ran in the war thus far. I expect more activity from you all, plus the rest of the team, during the remaining events in the war.

~ We had Ara running a website for the war, but she recently went AWOL and has had no contact with me. Thus, our website fell behind, so to solve the problem I created a thread on the clan message boards. Here I will post stories, results, and point totals as they are needed, so it is highly recommended you check this topic at least every Sunday. Please DO NOT post replies on the topic, as I want to keep it clean for stuff involving only the war. If you have a question about something war related simply drop me an email.

~ Bonus Event

Gaming: Droid Assassins

Due to unsuccessful negotiations, the two battle teams have just started their pursuit against the dreadful Killer, but already the pirates have placed an obstacle in their way. Lirias set loose a large group of droid fighters to try to slow down their followers, and the droid's only command is to destroy the battle team's ships. Aabsdu and Thran have sent their best pilots to destroy the droid attackers and keep them from disabling their cruisers.

This is a bonus event, and is not worth any medals. Members simply have to play against any fellow DB member in a match of XWA, BF2 (Space), Allegiance, ACCLive! (Space), or XWT. Forward your ACCLive! match email to Aabsdu at [Log in to view e-mail addresses], and I will add the correct amount of points to your name and battle team. This event is only for points, so it is optional. You will be given one point for every one win and/or three loses you play, and as a treat an extra five points will be awarded to the person or plays the most overall flying matches. This bonus event will run from 3/19/2006 to 3/31/2006, so get out there and kick some star fighter butt.

I understand that this bonus event is running long, but I will be on a trip for four days come the weekend of March 23 through the 26th, so I'll just leave you all with this while I'm gone. Report regular flying matches to the database under Other Gaming.

~ As stated in almost every one of my previous reports, I have two competitions planned for the battle team after the war. I am not even going to go into detail about them because I am tired of writing the same thing in every report, so if you have questions concerning these competitions please refer to my previous reports. Mainly the one of March 5th...

That's my report for these past two weeks, and as usual if you need anything or have any questions you can catch me on IRC or at my usual email address. I'm here to help you all advance through the DB by handing out easy awards and more, so I am also always open to ideas for competitions. After all, once our third run-on ends in July I'm out of ideas, so let's get those gears turning. However, for some of you, like Famosus, it may take a bit of oil to get his gears rolling.
