Greetings, House Oriens Obscurum. This week has been a bit busy for me, so I'm sorry if I haven't gotten around to doing anything that I have been asked to do. I just finished my Senior year of High School on Friday, so I am trying to get all settled down, and get prepared for somewhat of an LoA coming up in a week. I'll be gone for a month, at least gone from IRC. I should have email capabilities at some point each week, so I will repond, just extremely delayed.

I would like to say that I am glad to see the level of activity growing since my last report. Several Shadow Academy courses have been completed by a few of you, and I have recieved several responses from the Check up I did not long ago. Great work, HOO! I also like seeing the few promotions that have happened as well, though I wish I would see some awardings happen too. Keep up the activity, HOO.

Look forward to a few new competitions coming out at the end of this weekend. I'll keep you all posted.

General

As I stated in my introduction, I will be gone for the length of a month starting June 5th and ending July 3rd. A vacation of sorts. I will have no IRC access, but I should have minimal email access, so if I am needed during that period of time, just send me something and be patient. I will respond, it will just be a bit delayed.

The Pre-GJW Warmup has been going on, and I hope to see a lot of you participate in it. This is a good way to practice your skills for when the real GJW arrives, which is very soon.

Discussions

I really wish I would see more responses to the message board topics. There is a lot to discuss when it comes to the House, and I would really like to see everyones opinions on the matters. Even if you wish to start a new topic, feel free to do so. The link to the forum is http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/forum/.

IRC

I stress this issue a lot, so I will include the section from my last report:

IRC prescence is very important as well. You can sort of think of it as the best place for up to date news. Yes the DJB site and Summit reports will give you information, but what if something happened immediately, someone asked for something on IRC for example, and a person was chosen five minutes later? You would have missed out on a good opportunity. I don't want to see any members get over looked because they are not on IRC. If you don't know how to get the mIRC client, just follow this link. I know that some of you are not able to download things, I used to be in the same position. There is an alternative though. If you simply go to this link: webchat you can use the web client version that the DJB has provided for member use.
