Hey everyone! Yeah, I'm back from my LoA, and man has there been a lot going on from the looks of my inbox. LOL Plus the fact that this will be my first report in at least several weeks, and for that I do deeply apologize to everyone. About a month ago my department at the news station lost several employees, one of which was key to the evening news production. She'd been with the station for nearly 6 years, and helped cover several positions through each week. Her sudden departure left the entire department scrambling to cover the positions she filled on any given day of the week. Anyway, new employees have now been hired and trained, so things are calming down once again at work. We can now get back to focusing more on our normal duties, and also the building of new sets that had been derailed during this period of time. And as if that wasn't bad enough, my Xbox suddenly stopped reading any DVD-type discs on Thursday. I've been going through major Xbox withdrawals as a result. :P For now though, lets move on to the key stuff from this past week, and for the next week. ;)
Overall Clan activity in the GJW is going well. There are some areas for improvement according to the House Summits, so please pay attention to their emails as they attempt to guide your activity and energy where it is deemed more crucial to winning the GJW. Remember, winning is always nice, but putting forth a good showing is what really counts in the end. :)
SA activity seems to be slipping a bit, but I'm sure that's mostly attributed to the GJW at the present time. I'd still like everyone to put some focus on their SA training, especially those of you in the Journeyman ranks where it is the most crucial for your rank advancement. FYI, if you run into some issues with an exam, please let your House Envoy know. Their there to help you overcome any obstacles to your advancement, and if there is a genuine issue with an exam, they can make the necessary contacts to the Shadow Academy to seek a resolution to the issue at hand.
A number of Clan projects have fallen by the wayside in recent weeks. I'm partially to blame for some of them, but I promise we'll get things back on track, and after the GJW will push full steam ahead once again to get them completed. The CON and I are going to be sitting down and will make a list prioritizing what needs to be done and then we'll go from there. Certain people will be contacted to assist, based on their known skills and availability to be involved. More to come on this later.
DJM Sarin submitted our Clan history yesterday so it can be added to the Dark Side Compendium. A number of times in the past there have been attempts to get all of the Clan histories added to the DSC, but to date the attempts haven't been successful. I'm honestly hoping this time it becomes a reality, since it would be great for CP to finally have some recognition and exposure on a greater level. Besides, we have a well written history, and it would be a shame not to expose more people to our past. ;)
SBM Aabsdu Dupar al'Tor has submitted a list of plans and projects for HEK to tackle once the GJW is over. I'd like to ask the HSK Summit to put together some thoughts and plans of their own for what they'd like to see HSK tackle as well when the GJW is concluded.
There have been a lot of promotions, and while I view all as important and worth celebrating, there were apparently some key ones that at this time I'd like to personally congratulate. Major congratulations go to; SW Vasily 'Paulikus' Zaitsev, DJK Raken, and DJK Ky Terrak. Raken, that was a mighty fast transition from GRD to DJK. I tip my hat to you, quite an accomplishment! :)
The Caption Contest will be back in full swing shortly. The awards from the last posted week will be submitted today, and if things go as I hope around my house I will be able to post the next image. I'm going to run two more weeks of it under the current approved competition, then at the beginning of July will begin a whole new series to extend through the end of the year. Have no fear you caption hounds, there will be more to come! :)
The June results from the ACC and SA competitions will also be released within the next 24 hours, if not later today sometime. I just have to compile all the info on these and submit the award recommendations. Today seems to be the day I get a LOT of things caught up. LOL
I have a lot to catch up on, so if you think there's something that I haven't yet done, please send me a reminder and I'll track it down and see that it gets done in short order. At this point I think it's going to take me the better part of this next week to get fully caught up. So please be patient. In any event, lets move on to the awards, promotions and other important things that you guys really want to see in my reports. hehehe (FYI, this will cover the time period since my last major report, so it'll be a pretty long list of awards and things. :P)

Specifics:
Each month the Top 3 Clan members that obtain the most victories at the
ACC will be awarded a Crescent for their accomplishment. This will be an
evolving competition through the end of 2006, with Third Level Crescents
awarded monthly to the Top 3 Clan ACC Champions!

This is simular to Julius Caesar's old Stacking the books competition.
Every week, I'll post a quote on the HSK forum and say what star wars film
it's from. The first person to email me with who said it gets a point. The

Specifics:
The House Summit is looking for Exar Kun's most talented warrior, so we
have started this search to find that person. Over the course of the Great
Jedi War, I will keep track of how many Cluster of Fires everyone earns.
Come the end of August, the person who received the most overall CFs for
the entire duration of the war will be awarded a fourth level crescent.
Two more crescents will be handed out to the second and third place
finishers.
Also, there will probably be a delay in results since I'm sure CFs for the
whole war won't completely be handed out until a week or two after it
concludes. Due to this, I'm allowing this competition to run until the
third week of August, so you'll have some extra time to keep earning those
medals.
