HOO AEDILE REPORT #4

Greetings my brothers and sisters in Oriens Obscurum,

October has come! I wonder how our galaxy now seems to turn more rapidly, as if the time moves faster. However, glad to see you all apparently safe and sound. I myself had recovered and felt better since two days ago, leaving me long worklist to catch.

New month means new chances and joy, another view of activity to present. Some competitions have ended and had their winners, some others still on hold for valueing. Three new Arcona events have been released, "Why I like Star Wars" Essay hosted by CON Strategos and myself, it's a fun topic since we are all the fans of Star Wars; Arcona Monthly Topic, Fiction and Graphic, which deal with finding ways and attempting to assasinate the Arcona Consul (Wow! Dark Jedi way!). Special note to the latter events, that humorous sense will have point.

DJB Personal WIKI for Clan Arcona Wide is still running, along with the five competitions for Bas-Tyra: ACC matches, Fiction, Graphic, Multiplayer Game and Run-on. Bas-Tyra members, continue to provide all your effort and win against Soulfire! Well, don't miss it, since anything we will get as the outcome from this BTs war, is going to have part of inducing another turmoil and perhaps...much bigger

House Summits will have released some events for you to compete. Quaestor Venquis has two events added to the house, his love for members' Cluster of Fire and HOO bi-weekly Fiction topic. RM Alex has special event for Journeymen, especially for you who are JH and below, about your personal future vision as Dark Jedi. I will release some short competitions as well, as the warming up to face the upcoming turmoil.

In short, you could find those competitions details on the Oriens Obscurum Weekly - the HOO Competitions News, released by Aedile's office. I have sent the third edition to the house yesterday, so check your inbox.

For activity level, seems the chart line is in the lowest spot, anyway hopefully it is going to be up again, my best wish is to have you enjoying the fun in this October. Qua Venquis and I will send you a feedback form to fill in. Give your review and suggestion, caring and sharing, as Oriens Obscurum will be always our comfortable home to stay. We will appreciate your thought to enhance our service to you and HOO, and anything you want to share and support to the house

GENERAL NEWS

Darth Who? is the recent topic to discuss for all Star Wars fans in this world as told in the DGM news. It is for Jacen Solo who is going to embrace his allegiance to the dark side of the force. Think something unique, and related to his history and provide it to the official host._One Grand Prize winner will have his or her Sith name featured as the official character name in Star Wars: Legacy of the Force: Sacrifice by Karen Traviss _ Wow, such a temptation. So if you're interested on giving your idea, go here.

An armor to choice! Thanks to Muz for such blessed talent. Look at your dossier option for robe construction after login, and if you feel your character is good in it, try the fashion of old imperial stormtrooper's armor. It'll be looking good.

Our neighbour house in Arcona, Galeres is now looking for someone to fill in the Aedile position. Prerequisites : must be at least a Jedi Hunter, must have more then six months time in the Brotherhood, must put at least one original idea in the application, have a good e-mail turnaround, and a nice IRC presence. The hard part is not being a control freak, idiot, or jerk, as Koskian said that Arcona had enough of those already :P. Last ICTE results have been out and again our fellow Arconan placed as the All Star. Congrats to Karel. Well, As a note for you Oriens, ICTE has several new events, such as Tauntaun racing, I love it, Hunt the Rancor...man...it's very huge!, and Merc Wars! Come to enjoy ICTE this Saturday

ACC live! tournament has begun. For you ACCers, now, it's time for fun. However, please read the notification from the Combat Master as follows

Battles for the tournament are only counted on Saturday and Sunday in IRC channel #acc

One round per weekend (rematches due to unforeseen circumstances will be handled during the following week, before the next round begins, Contact Kat Pridemore)

Round 1 must be fought this weekend (Oct 7 & 8); so you have 3 days (or so) to schedule the match with each other

For this round, the top member of each pairing on the bracket (the member literally displayed on the top of the pairing) is responsible for first contact to set up the match (the other can do it, but the top is 'responsible', it's best to CC Kat Pridemore when making challenges).

If the fight fails to occur, the bottom member of the pairing wins by default, unless it can be shown that an attempt to contact was made and/or ignored (hence, best to CC Kat Pridemore when making challenges).

Concessions 'can' be made if fighters aren’t available on the weekend. Contact Kat Pridemore.

CF's will be awarded 'after' the entire competition is over

Fighters will not report their matches as normal

Another ACC event is for pilots, because the signing ups for the next ACC Piloting Championship Ladder (PCHL) are open. It's for the title "ACE" granted to a greatest pilot.

New Hands of Justice have been appointed. They are Dark Jedi Master Aristan Dantes and Dark Side Adept Doni Tzu Tarentae. Congrats go to them

Arcona has the reward from the GM of being the third in the sixth Great Jedi War : Acclamator I-class Assault Ship (AAS) which has the support option #1: 320x 74-Z speeder bike, 80x LAAT gunship, 48x AT-TE, 36x SPHA walker or #2: 156x V-19 Torrent starfighter. Wow. Too bad we dont have that Star Destroyer :P
