House Ludo Kressh Aedile Report, 12/11/06

Sooooo, my first ever Aedile report, hopefully the first of many more to come. So I got told I had to write a load of drivel at the start because I never really do that in my KCE report….so I’m going to talk about a load of crap for the next paragraph or so.

I’m getting kind of annoyed with university, I’ve got all these project briefs to do and not one of them is written in plain frigging English; they have to say ‘disparate’ instead of ‘different’, I have to make one animation that has to ‘reinforce the poetic nature using the visual imagery of the fluidity of motion’. What the hell does that mean? I asked the tutor, she said ‘it has to have realistic motion’. That’s it? Why didn’t they just put ‘has to move good’? They take about 50 words to say something you could easily say in 10.

Another thing, the tutors suck. I mean, badly. We’ve got two animations and 3 Photoshop files to do (all of them worded ridiculously) and they aren’t teaching us squat about how to use the programs. The other week we were shown an animation in Flash and told to make our own using parts out of the library, and when we told the tutor we didn’t know how to use half the stuff that the parts were containing, she basically said ‘well…um…just look at it’. Just look at it for two hours? Yay, I have this stuff to hand in in four weeks’ time and I can’t even start it.
