</td> </tr> <tr> <td> This Week: Return of the Killer B!</td> </tr> <tr> <td> We are all pleased to welcome back Brujah Tamalar to the ACC staff after his computer-less hiatus. He's working with his "on loan" computer until Santa brings his new one and puts it under the tree :) Nevertheless, he is back...yay!</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Eraser Competition</td> </tr> <tr> <td> Wow! Not even 'officially' open yet and there's already seven battles started - schweet! Remember - the participants who challenge can only challenge those who have equal or greater losses than they do. That means, if you have 5 losses (according to the list at the top of the hall) you can't challenge someone with 2. Why? Because 2 is not equal to or greater than 5 :)
This was set up that way dimply to designate who would be the first to post - no other reason than that. </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> ACCLive! Ladder</td> </tr> <tr> <td> Slated to start 1 December, the signups for the next Live! Ladder are open - don't be afraid :) - there is going to be plenty of leeway granted because of the holidays; let's just communicate about them, okay? If you are trying to challenge (as your supposed to), we'll all remember to give each other a break due to family stuff, shopping whatever. We'll be reasonable about it - so sign up! Or I'll be forced to track you down, break into your house and poop in your pillow...explain that in the morning :P</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> _ Bar Room Brawl Thingy</td> </tr> <tr> <td> Round 3 is underway - man, this going to be a crazy long battle - though it is already :)</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> _Championship Ladder Ratings</td> </tr> <tr> <td> Okay, the last of the three I was waiting on have come in - all moved to 'Unknown' status. Don't worry - they're not going to sit and rot, I just wanted to get to them all in one fell swoop so we can keep the timelines basically the same - just easier to manage that way. They'll be dealt with by the end of the weekend. As a note concerning the time outs of these things, please read the rules concerning the actual mechanics of a time out so as not to get into a squabble about it. I time these things out based on my schedule - sometimes folks will squeak by by posting a few hours (sometimes as much as a whole day) late before I can get to timing out the battle. It happens. It doesn't matter who you are. The fact is that the 'auto' process hasn't worked for the ACC in years (the old auto-flush of timed out battles that used to do it automatically), so every time out has been manual in the ACC, for every battle - for every competition. I try to keep it pretty concise, but folks slip through. If they do - as has been said in the past - they are in the clear. That is, if they make their post before I get to it - I won't consider it a time out. We said that in the last CHL, the CHL before that and so on and so forth - i.e. it's not "new".

The whole idea of regular time outs, back when Cyris made it official (7 Nov 2003), was to keep battles from sitting for ages without activity. Even now, there are folks who would like to see the regular 14 days shortened. The incorporation of time outs into competitions was done to add another level of 'action' to the battles, again - done long before I became CM. I love'em - I'm a fan of them - I especially like the 72 because it adds a level of stress for some that is similar to time durations in other games/platforms. So, time outs are not something that is going to go away - but it will remain something that is done manually for now, hence, relative to the schedules of the people administering the battles. </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> </tr></table>

<tr> <td> _ On Deck...</td> </tr> <tr> <td> We have 2 CHL's running, the Eraser comp underway, the BRB (for some) and the Live! Ladder open for signups - that gives us '5' fairly good comps already in progress or about to be...with the Cooperative Event being written.
