She was expected to write a report, to give an account of what had happened in her first three weeks as leader of House Galeres, but for some reason the words were escaping her. Again she promised herself that she would be more diligent and put things away as they arrive.

With a sigh, Selene's thoughts drifted away, trying to piece together the changes that had happened not only in Galeres, but also in Arcona. A spate of new appointments in the summits left them with a new Proconsul and Quaestors for both Houses. The vast majority of Galeres had already assured her of their loyalty and support and she had in turn promised them that she would always try to do what is best for those she was now responsible for.

Selene knew that each member of the house worked hard, she knew that even before she had taken the position and the number of messages she had received from the Master-at-Arms to inform her of medals Galerians had received, only made her more proud of them.

Absentmindedly running a hand through her spiky black hair, the girl sat down to start her report, calling on her assistant to have a supply of coffee ready, as this would be a long one.. </td></tr> </table>

First off, I want to say thank you to each and every one of you that made the transition from BTL to QUA so easy for me. Your offers of help, your subtle guidance and even the loud complaints have made it so much easier for me to get settled and going in my new 'job'. Those of you who have spent time with me in Soulfire, know that I (mostly) don't have issues. I will do my absolute best to ensure that you are having a good time in Galeres. If you ever have a question, query, problem, idea, criticism, or a rant against whatever or whomever, that’s what I am here for.

I am on IRC most of the time and if by some odd happening I am not around (usually my ISP not liking me - it's a long story :P), just drop me a mail and I will get back to you. RL-wise, I am working this week, not hectic hours or anything, but if you catch me on IRC while I’m at work and I take a bit to reply, just be patient, I will get to you. Promise :P

This report will cover most of what happened from the 26th of November until the 16th of December. It's a big time span and includes a bunch of shinies and promo's, but I want you guys to at least have a quick glance at them. Every person that earned a reward worked hard for it and the least we can do is spend 2 minutes pretending to pay attention and read through them.

Between Lucius and I, we will try to have either a QUA or AED report out every week. We’ll see how it goes and I will keep you updated. Right, that ends that part of my babble.

The most important DB related news right now is that we have a poll concerning YOUR preferred competition activities. This poll is run for a reason - when the next GJW comes the powers that be want to run a war that everyone enjoys, but to do that they need your input. T:F Season's Greetings

It seems only fitting that Dark Jedi would also have some kind of seasonal affair. The goal of this competition is to describe that holiday. The format is open writing - it can be as long or as short as you like, and may be in point form, poetry or prose. Give a short description of how the holday started, how long it lasts (a day, a week, two weeks, a month, whatever) where it's celebrated (one world in particular, one star system, among all Dark Jedi), and at least two "rituals" that are observed during that holiday.
