ICTE Tribune Report

<style type="text/css"> <!-- .style2 { color: #FFFFFF; font-weight: bold; } --> </style>

Greetings,

Well, here we are, a few days before the end of the year is upon us, and this is my last report for 2006. I have to admit, it’s been a memorable year for ICTE and gaming in general, lots of people have broken age old records in CFs and Crescents, new players emerged, a few veterans came back to prove their worth, all in all, I think gaming has been continuously evolving, and for that we have every gamer from the DB, GE, RS, and the other allied clubs to thank for.

Seeing as this is my final report, I prepared some surprises for everyone, call it a few late presents to give out.

But first, we have our latest edition, a day before Christmas Eve, and it was truly an epic day for gaming. As you know double CFs were awarded for all platforms, and this attracted no more, no less than 35 players on Saturday, a record for the past months, maybe the entire year. It was an incredible experience, lots of team matches, so much that there was an IRC channel made just to arrange them :) The CF count is simply amazing, it can rival a GJW event…approximately 2000 were obtained by the participants. Some members said it was like the “old days” when ICTE had this kind of participation more often. I am not one to dwell on the success of others, I say we can not only bring the “old days” back, but we can improve on them, and this latest edition is a testament that the ICTE is evolving, but only you, the players, can make it happen. I think everyone really enjoyed themselves on Saturday, and I think there’s no reason such high participation can’t happen again next time. And in all honesty, I don’t think we need double CFs to get people playing ;) It’s all up to the participants, I’m confident we can make 2007 an even greater year than this one, here’s for the Inter-Club Training Event 2007!

This week’s stats are…

Statistics:

  • 35 players

    • 25 DB players
    • 8 GE players
    • 2 RS players
    • ~200 matches overall
    • 28 team matches
    • ~2000 CFs awarded
    • Clans with most participants: ARC (7), CNS(7), CSP(7)

No further comments are needed I believe, I’ve run out of adjectives to describe this edition :P One thing to note, the most active gaming clans of the year put on a show this last edition , and tied with 7 players each.

And the winners are…

Results

<span style="color:#FF0000; font-weight:bold">Cr-1R </span>Rasilvenaira (197 CFs) <span style="color:#FFFF00; font-weight:bold">ALL-STAR</span>

<span style="color:#660000; font-weight:bold">Cr-1A </span>Manesh (163 CFs)

<span style="color:#0000FF; font-weight:bold">Cr-1S</span> Odin Vaaj Bruth’Kothae (151 CFs)

After a streak of bad luck, Rasilvenaira finally achieved her goal on Saturday, and she is this year’s last ICTE All-Star, having obtained an incredible 197 Clusters! Congratulations! In second place, CNS Consul Manesh, with 163 Clusters, and in third, Odin Vaaj Bruth’Kothae, 151 CFs! Congratulations to all of the players, the top three, the all-star, everyone implicated in this latest ICTE, we’ve really raised the bar this time, even if double CFs were awarded, if you would cut everything down to half, the top three would look like this: 98 CFs, 81 CFs, and 75 CFs. And nobody has ever obtained such high scores, so don’t think these scores reflect the double CF occasion, they are a testament of incredible participation, willingness to get out there and game, and have fun.

Updates

The site has received a few updates, first of all the schedule reflects next year’s editions, the Archive page currently has no links in it, as the 2006 list was archived (links at the bottom of the table), and a few special files were uploaded. Read on to find out more about it.

Announcements

First of all, may I direct your attention to this file. It contains a list of all the players from 2006, and their respective CF count, match count, CF per match, and number of ICTE editions they participated in. Just select the different worksheets and browse through them, there are some interesting rankings in it, a good read for those who appreciate statistics. What is the most important out of the file is the match count, for this year, the top 3 players that had the highest number of matches played are the proud recipients of 3 merit medals!

  • Manesh – SC for playing 492 matches

  • Malidir – AC for playing 461 matches

  • Lucius – DC for playing 347 matches

These three individuals have played the most matches throughout the entire year, a stunning performance on their part, a total number of 1300 matches disputed. Manesh gets a Steel Cross for his close to 500 matches; Manesh is also second in number of ICTE’s participated in, with 30 editions. The Dark Cross goes to my ICTE Staff member, Malidir, for 461 matches played in 2006! And last, previous Tribune Lucius, who played 347 matches. Congratulations on your awards! For a full list, check out the spreadsheet linked above, under the Matches worksheet.

But there’s more...

Although the number of matches played was the decisive figure in deciding who got merit medals, the other sections deserve just as much attention.

And...a final suprise...Three spreadsheets containing every edition as worksheets, from the past three years! Thanks to Malidir and Xayun for helping me with all these stats :)

whats really sad, is that Duga, and myself havent played and you all still havent topped the top dawgs........its like....."Were waiting over here"

sad how 197cf's in a ICTE....and you all still cant make the high count of over 2k cf's...but then again.....we did it the hard way, like win = 1 and loss = 1/3 and were still leading the way......Im shocked, sadden, and well.....LAUGHING!!!

(FYI = this is meant as smack talk.....anyone that just took offense, should find a real life........and have a nice day :P)

pokes Smoke with a dull spoon

Keep laughing there buddy, I'm closing in on your CF count pretty fast, and I fully intend to beat it :P

Oh Smoke, I'll catch up with you one day...even if I have to lose 4000 matches to do so. :P

I must say I'm really impressed with the work that went into compiling all of that data.

yeah bah on you Smoke :P

and yeah I agree with Manesh. Karel, get a life :P

A what? Oh...it's that new FPS game...it sucks big time, no thanks. :P

Kar, I noticed that you missed all of the rest of my data off from when i was 'Nadrin', according to that data on the huge spreadsheet I've only participated in 1 ICTE, but won 2?

Woot :P

CC

Hard to keep up with name changes, and everyone bastardizing your name every now and then :P I did add the data from Nadrin, but I guess some got lost in the transition. Sorry
