Yet another week has zoomed past us, the first major holiday in the short time period blowing by with the normal chaos! In a few more days we will be celebrating a new year... and it will be a new year indeed. So let me jump through some hoops, hit some typical topics... and then jump to the meat of what you are looking for!

New Members

Another seven days, another batch of new blood pumped into the Clan. New members are swept up in the dream-come-true of becoming a Dark Jedi and feverishly apply to join the Dark Brotherhood. It then becomes the task of the Envoy Society to meet and greet these individuals and help them advance within the initial ranks. From there the House Leaders help them aspire for greatness and attain Dark Jedi Knight... the ultimate goal! So let us greet our newest...

Scholar of the Week

The Shadow Academy is a great tool and asset to further one's understanding of the Brotherhood, The Expanded Star Wars Universe and Leadership within the Brotherhood. In the early stages (APP, NOV, ACO) it can be a useful tool to explain the basic elements of the DJB. For the older members it is simply a way to expand their own, working knowledge base.

It was a down week for Shadow Academy activity; however we had several individuals still venture upon Lyspair in their academic pursuits. We had three Dark Jedi complete partake of one course this week: Phoenix Olkyssagh Palpatine, Drak Omas & Maximus Raidoner Mandalore. Additionally, I had three people attempt two courses this past week: Torak Occasus, Norrik Karn and Desio Predator Palpatine.

Yet, there can only be one Scholar of the Week! And this week's individual comes from the pool of two course individuals... please give a hand to Norrik Karn for his completion of the Conflict Mediation course and the Sith CORE Exam! Congrats Norrik!

IRC

Internet-Relay Chat (IRC) is the second (after e-mail) most accessible asset/tool within the Dark Brotherhood (DB). As a new member in the DB, IRC can provide you with real-time answers to real-time problems/questions. In fact, I was once a new member that spent countless hours on this chat service picking the minds of my Quaestor and Aedile for every facet of the Clan and DB.

Notable Feats

We had a very prominent promotion this week today, in fact of a long time Scholae Palatinae Sith! I am pleased to announce the elevation of Brujah Tamalar to the rank of Sith Battlemaster! He has served over the course of an entire year as an excellent member... having helped lead the Clan and becoming a pillar of the ACC community. Congrats, Brujah!

On the Horizon

The entire Clan Leadership convened for a meeting this past week... it was a very valuable tool to help prepare for the upcoming year and set some bullet points for my State of the Clan address... which will be January 1st, 2007... and several things were agreed upon.

So I will ask that each of you have patience, this report is meant to hold a place marker for activity and big events within the Clan archives.. the true changes/projects of import will be pressed upon you in just a few, short days!
