New AED Intro - Hola HAD Homies! <<

Greetings Acclivis Draco!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday season. I'm Rhaub, your new AED. Good to be in your service. Just a brief bio for those that don't know me and a bit about some of things that I'd like to do in the job:

-5 year HAD member (a few long Rogue breaks in between), w/ a prior 6 months in Gladius of Tarentum and 1 year in the former Dominatus of Alvaak. HAD service record includes: DG and DF TET, RM, QUA, and KCE. Former EH member (DIR, Senate, Intel). Currently serving as a member of the CSP Clan Senate.

-My primary responsibility, of course, is to assist and support QUA RevengeX in all his wars of aggression against the foreign hordes; i.e., I'm his foxy secretary. So if there's something you need resolved and it's not of the utmost importance, feel free to bring it to me if you don't want to bother the bossman; or, if it's something that you'd prefer to be kept out of the limelight, it's like lawyer/client privilege, I'm bound by law to keep your confidence and make your case. And my doors are wide open for all you new recruits with even the dumbest of questions. In fact, the dumber the better.

-TETs: If there's anything you need -- webpage hosting and support, awards authorizations, competitions support, whack a guy, off a guy, whack off a guy, any kind of assistance -- let me know and it'll be my first priority. I'm all about keeping the phyles happy, because they're the heart of the whole operation. If you're not already in a phyle, you should think about signing up. Dark opportunity and adventure awaits you.

-For competitions, if the interest is there, I'd like to offer a pretty much ongoing series of low-grade "quick-n-dirty" comps that can be easy to participate in, require little time and offer minimal reward. Just fun things to do to stay active. Such thing could include caption comps, web hunts, word games and puzzles, etc., but can also include anything fun and interesting that you might suggest. -Web Work - I'm always up for improving our site, and I greatly encourage skilled web wizards to make suggestions and lend a hand. A great way to stack up on some of those nice shiny awards.

-Finally, I'd like to help increase our collective sense of who we are, because if you hadn't already realized it, we have just about the coolest fictive history of any House and Clan. We are the Clan of Palpatine, bare none the most bad ass of all the Sith Lords. And HAD is the House of the Rising Dragon. A Rising Dragon! How cool is that! (FYI - Acclivis Draco is Latin for Rising Dragon.) These themes are so cool that they need to be celebrated. But as generations pass, each leaving their own mark, HAD's history and "brand" can and should evolve. So in the coming weeks and months I will be asking for your suggestions and ideas as to how we can improve and build upon our House's "theme and identity" through story and image. Some of the "quick-n-dirty" comps I mentioned will be geared towards this end. And all you graphics monkeys out there, this is the perfect time to be whipping up some rough-sketch House flags, crests, logos, etc. You can use the existing iconography or create new ones, and you certainly don't have to be a great artiste. It's the ideas and the effort that are important. This is your House, so it should reflect a sense of who you are and what you want it to be. And of course with participation comes advancement and reward.
