ID Lines

Well, the poll has ended, and the discussion on the message board has died down, and the results are actually not what I was hoping for. I wanted, and figured there would be, stronger support of one of the options. Of those who voted at the polling center, 48.72% were in favor of the degrees, 28.21% favored eliminating the ID line segment all together, and 23.08% favored keeping the current system. As you can see, even the largest segment is not even a simple majority (50% +1); more people are in favor of something different from the degrees. The message board discussion seemed to have more people in favor of degrees, but there were those who argued against them. If we had had a larger majority favoring any one plan, I’d be more comfortable going with it.

As we don’t have a majority favoring either of the extremes (degrees or elimination) we will keep the current system for the time being. It is a simple system, and ultimately, SA ID line tags only shows up on your dossier. Most people don’t use it in their e-mails. In the end, it is not that big of an issue, but I perceived that there was a desire for change, so I wanted input. I will think over the options, talk with Jac, Sarin, and Dranik, and let you know if I decide change anything.

Trivia and Run-ons

Congrats to Raidoner and Sephiroth who took 1st and 2nd place in Bane’s trivia right before Christmas. Your medals will be in the mail soon. There will be no SA trivia this weekend, as I’m working Saturday, and I need to pack to go back to school (final semester, yay!). Once school starts up, I should be able to go back to the every Saturday deal with little trouble.

As for the run-ons, I’ve not caught up reading all of them, but 3 of the run-ons have hit their 2nd page, and I’m hoping once the holidays are over, the others will pick up. There’s still time. But, please make certain to read the rules, and make certain you’re getting the proper post lengths in.

Courses: Upcoming and Taking

I’ve had History of the Sith Empire III chilling in my inbox now for awhile. So, I’ll get to that tomorrow, and get the editing process started so we can get that course out to you. The revamped Krath Core exam is nearing completion, and Sith and Obelisk are on the way as well. Dranik also has to code some Test of Lore changes, so pray that he gets it done before I dump Empire III and the Core exams on him :P

Also, thanks to those who have been patient with getting SA results. I know many people are able to kick up activity during the holidays, but at the same time, many will also take a leave. But, no one has complained, and the EPs have seemed to keep up with the demand.

Scrolls of Indoctrination

I’m going to be straight to the point here. I’m going to be more of a hard ass on the Scrolls of Indoctrination requests (they go through me to Halc). So, provide details when you request one. Don’t just say “I talked to him” and think that’s enough (and it usually isn’t). The more you say, the easier it is on both of us. I will reject SI requests without enough info

New Year’s Resolutions and Summary

As Headmaster, I have a few resolutions that pertain to the Brotherhood. First off, I will get the courses mentioned above running ASAP. I will not dethrone Jac as originally planned :P; and, um, well, that’s it. I suppose, though, that I can also offer this: trivia will continue, other competitions hosted by the SA should come, and I want to repeat one thing: if you need something from me, have a question, or whatever, just ask, and I’ll do the best I can to help you out. If you have an SA question, I’ll answer it. If you need an impartial judge for a competition for your unit, I can do it. If you need a girlfriend, I can’t do anything about that; sorry :P So, to summarize:

•ID lines staying as is for now.

•SA related comps working; will continue.

•Pray for Dranik as new/updated courses come

•SI requests need to be more specific

•May everyone have a great new year and obtain everything that you rightfully earn.
