Your beloved Tetrarch has recently been made Envoy for HLK. Basically, this means I get to help all the newbies get acclimated to our little club and show them the ropes. I would like to take a moment to talk about newbies. Newbies get a bum rap in any club and the DB is no different. They are the lowest man on the totem pole, they are inexperienced with the way the organization runs and usually get the wrong end of the stick. However, without these newbies, we would have no DB. Without these newbies, we would have no future. They are the backbone of this club and it's up to the rest of us to keep them from leaving. So, if you see someone on IRC whose never been there before, say hi, introduce yourself, ask them if they want to play you at JA or EaW, get to know them. Because if they leave because of unfriendliness, or too much hazing, they won't want to come back and eventually, you won't have anybody to play against. Remember, you were once a newbie too.
