The Corellian seemingly floated through the galaxy, his presence powered by his will as he serenely drifted through countless galaxies - searching, seeking, hoping for any glimpse or brush from the true Dark Lord: Emperor Palpatine.

It was the task set before a long lineage of Consuls: to strive for glory, dominance and the return of the true Darth. A very rigid schedule was adhered to for this task as it was of paramount importance to help Lord Sidious if he so existed on any plane.

Suddenly, there was a warning of impending doom to the Consul's physical body. Reacting haphazardly, the will of the man snapped half-way across the galaxy with such force and urgency that he risked losing part of himself in desperation. The planet of Judecca swam into his vision, his azure orbs drinking in the surrounding details as he hurtled through the atmosphere towards a large complex known only as the Royal Palace.

Braecen Kunar's eyes flashed open, the piercing pair of blues flicking back and forth as he scanned for danger. The sense of doom lingered, like a cloud laying over a harbor wharf... thick and impenetrable to the naked eye.

A small boy stood before him, no older than eleven years with a pragmatic grin upon his face. The water grey eyes seemed to be drinking in the entire scene before him while the Force radiated with great power within. "You have felt what is yet to come, Heir of Kun."

"A premonition?" Braecen croaked, his guard still extremely high - his awareness stretched thin from the sudden return to his body.

"Of war." Duda hopped up from his cross-legged position and marched towards the exit. The Epis could have swore he heard the young boy mutter under his breath, "Not too bright, that one."

Scholar of the Week

The Shadow Academy is a great tool and asset to further one's understanding of the Brotherhood, The Expanded Star Wars Universe and Leadership within the Brotherhood. In the early stages (APP, NOV, ACO) it can be a useful tool to explain the basic elements of the DJB. For the older members it is simply a way to expand their own, working knowledge base.

This past week we had five individuals take a single course: Gavan, Torak, Sauni, YuReS, & Predator. Many congratulations to each of you for furthering your Dark Side Lore (And congrats to Torak & Sauni on promotions!). Doubling up this week was the new recruit: Silith Kalvxo! Congrats and way to jump in without fear! (Silith has also joined us on IRC!)

Yet, there can only be one Scholar of the Week... and that honor goes to an individual that completed six Shadow Academy Courses in the past week: Sith CORE, Safe Computing, History of the Sith Empire 1 & 2, IRC Basics and Training Saber Basics. On the Horizon

As always... we have competitions and projects running to produce quality documents that detail everything from the buildings we use (fictionally) to the people in them (fictional and real :-p). If you are DJK or above and want to contribute in a manner that is both real and powerful - contact me for a task that deals with the continuous growth of CSP's DB Wiki-ness.

Now... another several events on the horizon.... leads us to...

The Message

Over the next several months, Scholae Palatine will be in overdrive to prove to ourselves (who cares what the DB as a whole thinks! :-p ) that we are one of the elite groups of individuals in the Dark Brotherhood. And we will do it through the most basic, fundamental path provided by the Dark Council: The Art of Vendetta.

What is Vendetta? In its simplest form, it is a campaign of competitions that not only impact our standing as a Clan... but our pride as group until the next major events comes about. In short, it proves how uber or un-uber we are... so everyone prepare to go RAWR! and join in the fun!

What Forms can they take? Vendettas can take the following forms.

Rite of Supremacy - At this level, Clans will battle for supremacy in the Brotherhood in the form of earning the titles of First Clan, Second Clan, and Third Clan of the Brotherhood. In addition, Houses battle to earn respective titles pertaining to their aligned Order.

Great Jedi War - At this level, Clans will battle for rewards decided upon by the Dark Council.

Clan Feud - At this level, two Clans will directly war upon one another in an attempt to win the possessions of the other.

Yes, CSP will see all three of the above types in the next 3 months... meaning we will be a busy little clan. However, this also means there will be great opportunities to advance within the Clan without holding a leadership position. In fact, it may come that being an active contributor during this campaign will be as valuable as serving on the Summit.

What sort of prizes can be garnered?

Awards for a Rite of Supremacy - The titles of First Clan, Second Clan, and Third Clan of the Brotherhood will be awarded to those Clans which show the top three places of supremacy. In addition, the first three placing Houses of each Order shall receive a title relating to their placing and Order (ie. First House of the Sith, Second House of the Sith, etc). Lastly, placing individuals are usually awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze Novas.

Awards for a Great Jedi War - The awards presented to the victor of a Great Jedi War will be decided upon individually by the Dark Council. In addition, placing individuals are usually awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze Novas.

Awards for a Clan Feud - The victorious Clan shall take one of the possessions of the losing Clan. The possessions at stake must be approved by the Dark Council beforehand.

THE FIN

I will simply end by saying this... The Clan Feud (upcoming) against Arcona will be a time for instruction and mentorship from your House & Clan Leaders. We will help you understand the format, competitions and drive necessary for the Clan to compete for the top spot within the Great Jedi War.

With that said, the Rite of Supremacy will be a jubilant time for each of us to do well as an individual... establish our activity, names and presence as capable leaders, members and mentors. Which will have a direct impact on our preparation for the Great Jedi War... an activity that we will have to work together on, continually, if we aspire to knock Taldryan from their thrown.
