Clan Plagueis

Clan Plagueis,

This is a very important letter. Perhaps the most important letter I have ever written. Some of you already know what this letter is about, many of you do not, but you soon will. Although, some of you have probably guessed what this letter is about, just from the way it has started, as well as the way it is being delivered. Let me start off, however, by saying that you all are the best members a leader could ask for. You aren't always the most active when it comes to competitions, but you make up for it in all other areas. You are talkative, fun, engaging, lovable, everything we look for in members. As I've said before, the only thing you all need to work on is competition activity, but no one is perfect. Now, before I start explaining myself, let me tell you all what this letter is for. Yes, I am resigning from my position of Consul of the Great Clan Plagueis.

Please, before you start getting mad or upset or happy or crying because you are so sad (don't hide it), let me finish this letter, and this report as a whole. After that, feel free to start replying to the email with your condolences, or your happiness. This resignation is not because of you guys, it couldn't be. As I already said, you guys are the best, and it is because of your guys that I am only resigning from my position, and not going Rogue or to another clan. It is because of you guys, members, leaders, the entire clan as a whole, that I would never leave. Now, I am going to try to answer a few questions that I'm sure will pop up.

First, I am resigning for a few reasons. The main one, however, is something that plagues us all. Lately, as many of you have noticed and pointed out, and I have been very inactive. Not so inactive to where I'm not on IRC or answering emails, but I have been nowhere near as active as a Consul should. As the superb members that you are, you guys deserve a Consul who can always be there for you. I have come to learn that my activity is just not enough, I admit that, and that is why I am resigning. You guys deserve better, not that I don't rock (just admit it).

No, I am not leaving the clan. Technically, I can't since I hold the name di Plagia, but besides that point I would never leave. I will be returning to my home house of House Exar Kun, where I will work to make it the superior house in the clan again, as it once was. Sunflash, Niman, watch out, cause House Exar Kun is about to trample you. Will I take other leadership positions in the future? Maybe, although I doubt I will take something like Proconsul or Consul again. When I think about it, clan summit perhaps just wasn't for me. It required too much time. I love to be active, but there is a limit to everyone, and I think my limit was met when I became Consul.

Now, have I failed at Consul? Well, I suppose that in the end that is for you guys to decide. I, however, do not think I have failed. I have not done everything I wanted to do in my term, but failed would not be the word I use to describe it. After all, technically I haven't done anything that will scar the clan forever. In fact, I haven't had the time to do too much at all, which is one reason I am stepping down. Still, failure is an opportunity to begin again more intelligently. This is another of my mottos, although I stole this one from a website. Rather I have "failed" or not, I have definitely learned a lot, something all leaders do while in office.

Now, when it comes to the position of Consul, Orzon is obviously the first person that comes to mind. He cares for this clan, as much as I do. The major difference, however, is that he definitely has the time to devote. Still, Sarin, Jac, and I have decided that the position will be opened up to applications DB-wide. An outside influence on the clan might not be the worse thing right now, you never know. Still, Orzon will apply (at least we hope he does), and he pretty much has the position. We are opening up our options, though, just to see what's out there. Do not ask about Proconsul, because Orzon and I have already spoken about what will happen should be become Consul. If someone else is Consul, then we already have a Proconsul, and a damn fine good one at that.

As for all of the projects that we are working on, I have no doubt that Orzon will continue to handle them amazingly. He already has been for weeks, so I'm sure he will continue to do so. I will continue to hold access on the clan website, as well as coding access to all three websites, so I will keep doing that. I will also help with the Wiki project, so things are going to be great. I will push for activity in the upcoming Rite of Supremacy and Great Jedi War. I will be active myself, and lead by example.

When I look at it, general membership will actually be a pretty nice thing. I'll still work on projects, but now I will have time to participate in competitions more, game more, I will be the member I was so many months ago before I became Battleteam Leader. In fact, I would go as far as saying that nothing is really going to change that much. The only difference is that no longer will I be your boss, no longer will you read my reports, no longer will I be rewarding you for your amazing activity. Instead, I will only be there to congratulate you, and leave the awarding to my successor.

Thus, with this letter, I resign from my position of Consul, and I hope I have done so honorably. I am not going to say good-bye or anything like that, because I am not leaving. As I already said, I will return to House Exar Kun, and be as active as ever. Instead, I will only say Consul Aabs out, for this is my last report.

Former Consul of Clan Plagueis

As I already stated, Orzon can more then handle the projects that we were working on. I will be there to help, of course, especially with the Wiki ones, but they are in good hands. As for the Plagueis Olympics, Orzon and his leaders will continue with that house feud in whatever way they deem worthy. I will, however, continue to work on the clan epic with Sunflash and Orzon. An epic that has been in the works since September, and will hopefully be something you all love. I won't tell you much, but for those new members out there the epic revolves around the Crimson Tide, and I guarantee that people... will... die.

Thank you all for the wonderful time I had as Consul. I loved my job, and who knows when I may take over another position. Do not worry, though, as I have already said I am still here to make jokes no one laughs at, call Dismal a female, and above all pawn you all in competitions. House Exar Kun, Battle Team Exar's Shadow, Aabs is comin' home!
