Well, the big news is that Halc is the new Deputy Grandmaster. Congrats go out to him. I’ve heard a rumor that he’ll be using his nice new salary to buy everyone unlimited drinks. Halc had better get settled in quick, as I do intend to inundate him, and Sarin, with SA things needing their attention (read below)

In other DB news, the Rite of Supremacy is coming up pretty damn soon. I encourage everyone to watch the trailer and get pumped up for the Rite.

**SA Trivia<b>

This past weekend, I tried something new. Instead of just one event, I hosted two. One was IRC based trivia, the traditional format, and the other was a message board based event. Participation has been decent so far in both, and you have until tomorrow night to get answers in for the message board event.

What I want to know is if this should continue, or should I just choose one? Go to the polling center and make your voice heard. I want feedback…through the polling center.

<b>New Course Update</b>

First up, after talking with Dranik, I’ve decided that all the Core rewrites are going to be launched simultaneously. This means that I need to get busy and rewrite the Sith Core exam, as Obelisk and Krath are done (major props go out to Lan for rewriting the Krath Core). I’m hoping to have this done soon and it’s at the top of my priority list for the SA. The plan is to make the Core exam required to switch orders. You get your one free choice when you join, but after that, you must have taken and passed the Core exam for that order. But, that’s something to discuss with at least the new MAA, if not a few others.

Kir has written up an extensive course for the Brotherhood’s judicial system and, once posted, it will be required for anyone wishing to hold a future position with the Chamber of Justice (Hands, appeals panel, even Justicar). This is one of those things I mentioned about inundating Halc and Sarin with.

<b>1 Year and Course Count</b>

Next week, I will be hitting my one year anniversary as Headmaster. As I write this, we’re approaching 3000 course passings. I would very much like to hit 3,000 on or at my one year mark, if only for psychological needs :P

That being said, I am going to take a cheap route and offer again the X000th course passing competition (I had contemplated not doing this). You pass the 3,000th exam, you get first place. There will be two second places (2999 and 3001) and two third places (2998 and 3002). Crescents will be up for grabs. Unfortunately, at this time, I don’t have a new course to launch simultaneously.

<b>Reminders and Summary</b>

Just another advance reminder that I will be out of town from March 24 through April 2. Internet access will probably be limited at best, but more likely non-existent. And now, to summarize:
