Ludo Kressh Quaestor Report 5th March 2007

Hey all

Hope you’re all doing ok. Personally I’m still working every week, finding the weekends too short and generally looking forward to retirement in about 2041 when I intend to sit back, do some gardening (don’t currently have a garden but I’m hoping to get one) learn how to play golf and finally getting round to writing that Motivation SA course I’ve been planning since last year and hopefully getting SBM.

However that’s all a long way off, about three and a half decades, so what’s happening in the near future? Firstly, in the next five minutes I’m planning on making a cup of coffee. Secondly I’m doing an AWOL check this week. Thirdly there’s the RoS coming up soon (check out the trailer sometime) and there’s a GJW on the horizon sometime after that.

To go into a bit more detail about the above.

Firstly the coffee thing is fairly straightforward. Boil the water, coffee in the cup, put the boiling water in, add milk and stir. Seems simple enough but if you want to be efficient it’s all down to timing and positioning of the cupboards, kettle and fridge.

Secondly, Ashia has prepared a list of people who’ve been inactive for the last month and I’ll be looking it over then emailing you all individually. Two things on that. Firstly for all of you who haven’t joined in the last week or so and are below DJK, Ashia has sent out guidelines for the trials and suggestions on activities, there’s plenty of competitions and new SA courses for you to do, so you’ve been given every opportunity to do something. For anyone who needs advice myself, Ashia, Sai and Bob or Sin are happy to help you out. We can’t tell you what to write in your ACC battle or give you exam answers but we can give you a bit of general advice.

Secondly, for those of you who have been inactive due to RL reasons, family stuff, work, school or college or illness, if we AWOL you now then provided you haven’t caused a huge load of trouble you’re always welcome to come back when you can be active. It doesn’t reflect badly on you, some of the highest ranking people in CNS have taken breaks from the Clan from time to time, at the end of the day this isn’t like the army or anything we don’t send people to drag you back in irons or give you a flogging or anything (if that is your kind of thing you need to think about a different kind of website but we hope you do DB stuff as well). You just come back when you want to.

Which takes us onto thirdly. I appreciate both of the last two paragraphs began with secondly but the second secondly was the second part of the first secondly as opposed to the second part of the first part. To make this a bit easier from now on the party in the first part shall be referred as the party in the first part (As once famously said by Groucho Marx) and the next point shall continue to be referred to as the third part.

Anyway thirdly (for anyone who is still reading this after the last paragraph) the RoS and the GJW. These are both fun vendettas for you to take part in where the overall Clan Score will be measured against the other Clans. They usually span across a number of platforms, gaming, fiction, graphics, ACC, poetry, strategy, and runons (which CNS is traditionally insanely good at) that means there’s something there for everyone regardless of what you like doing.

My advice here is look at the events that come up and have a go at the ones you can do. It doesn’t matter if you’re not a great writer, or a great artist (my entry for the last Clan feud graphics section was a black rectangle with a comedy title and even that won points) each entry wins points and helps the overall score.

That’s it really, you won’t be picked on or bullied into taking part or criticised if you don’t, as I’m going to drop on anyone like a anvil who even jokes about doing that to a Ludo Kressh member this time around, just do your best and try and enjoy it , don’t get frazzled and don’t worry about the score too much just concentrate on what you can do.

That’s all from me for now really, check out the competitions page, check out the SA courses, have a look at the trials to see what you need to do for promotion, and don’t forget we have two great Battleteams with two equally great Battleteam Leaders so anyone not in one drop me and Ashia an email and we’ll add you.

In Darkness, In Sympathy for anyone who actually read all that, and probably Insane,
