House Dinaari of Taldryan Report #01

<p>Introduction

<p>Hello Dinaari, as you may have guessed I am your new Aedile. This is not going to be a standard report per se ... more of an introductory post that will let you know who I am and what's going on.

<p>As you should know by this point, my name is Vladet Xavier (but everyone just calls me Vlad). While I am fairly new to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, my experience with this type of club goes back about four years to the Emperor's Hammer. I served as a Squadron Commander for about 14 months before being promoted up to the position of Security Officer (and eventual rank of Fleet Admiral). I resigned from SO about ten months later due to the firing of the XO, Sarin, and transferred to the line ranks again with some old friends from my ship, the ISD Grey Wolf (Wing XIII).

<p>I was expelled a while after for helping to start up the short-lived Imperial Dominion (now a pay-to-play FPS gaming clan) and served in command for a few months before the club all but dissolved. I was brought to the DJB by my old friend Sarin. I was automatically assigned to Clan Plageuis and transferred to Dinaari/Taldryan the day before the Rite of Supremacy.

<p>So ... here I am. I am a lead by example type of "administrator" so to say. As a lot of people know I'm always up for an EPIC game of JO CTF and you can just about always catch me on IRC. You'll see a report from me about once a fortnight (or every two weeks), depending on activity in the House/Clan/Brotherhood.

<p>My goal as a leader is simple - to create and/or maintain a fun environment. I am lucky to belong to such a House where this is not a problem. We're still a little hungover from the Rite of Supremacy (which we totally omgwtfpwned) and we have the Great Jedi War (GJW) coming up this summer.

<p>Taldryan (and Dinaari) have a tradition of winning - I do as well. When I was in the EH TIE Corps, I was stationed on the ISD Grey Wolf which operated on a very similiar principal to Clan Taldryan - "A Brotherhood within a Brotherhood." The Grey Wolf was the most active ship in the fleet and had the most members because our staff created an environment where people had fun and they enjoyed being part of a great, winning tradition.

<p>As a leader I am here to serve you. It's funny that I say leader because in my eyes we're all equal - some of you have done so much for the Clan and the DJB as a whole I feel somewhat honored to serve as Aedile of such an awesome group.

<p>In the end it's all about fun - that's why we're here. Over the next few months before the GJW I have some ideas for competitions that will mostly focus on gaming, with some emphasis on non-gaming activity just to keep us fresh for the GJW (details below).

<p>Taldryan is a gaming clan. I have an interesting competition which I'm hammering out that really tests how good we are at CTF. Details to come in a week or so!

<p>Great job in the Rite of Supremacy! Taldryan and Dinaari were 1st overall! Team Cluster of Fires awards should be coming soon. Our very own ex-GM Jac "Buffalo Hunter" was Grand Champion.

<p>I promise future reports will be nowhere near this long!
