Busy, Busy, Busy

I'm sure that you've realized by now, but FK and myself both got swamped with RL things, mainly school work, at the same time. Things have started to quiet down for me to the point where I can spend a lot more time on the DB and things are headed that way for FK. We're both extremely sorry for how we've all but neglected Archanis lately.

House News

<li>The position of Battle Team Leader for Crimson Vanguard is open for application. If anyone is interested in applying and have not already done so, applications are being taken until saturday night. Send your applications to FK and myself explaining why you think that you'd be a good candidate for a leadership position in Clan Taldryan along with a few rough ideas for CV. No previous leadership experience is required, and we're looking for mainly JHs, but will consider a strong application from a GRD. Applications are open for the entire clan, also, so if any non-Archanis people are looking to get ahead we'll welcome their applications too.

<li> Ricco has been awarded a Seal of Loyalty and FK has earned 3 CFs. Congrads to you both.

<li>Look for some comps coming your way soon. We need to keep activity up between the RoS and GJW, so we're going to be starting a few comps in the near future to help everyone out.

<li> There isn't much happening on the clan level at the moment, Duga got swamped with RL business as of late but is catching up with the back log of work now. If you sent him an email lately he should be getting back to you soon.

<li> The fourth anniversary of the Exodus has come. Most of you weren't around for that, but it's an event that definitely deserves to be remembered. The rights that we enjoy as members of the DB didn't exist before the Exodus and things like the ability to speak out against the leaders were non-existent. I point that out specifically because I was intimately aware of the fact that this particular right was no given to us. I don't flaunt this fact, but I don't make any attempt to hide it either: I was demoted four ranks for publicly saying that Chi-Long was a bad Grand Master and showed favoritism by quickly promoting his girlfriend to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Today, a statement like that would most likely begin an investigation against Chi-Long to see if he'd abused his power and database access, but under the EH the investigation was against me for the things that I said. Although my complaints were completely true and accurate I was still demoted because complaints about superior officers were not allowed. I want everyone to realize how far we've come in these four years and how lucky we are to have these rights and protections.

<li> Dalthid has stepped down as CM and received a Silver Sash for his work in the position.

Closing

Right now we're between big comps, but we can't allow ourselves to get lazy. We have a GJW coming soon and we have to stay sharp for it. Everyone is expecting Taldryan to win and I'm hoping to use this GJW to thrust Archanis back to being the best and most active house in the clan, like we were when I was Quaestor in the past.

A certain level of respect is expected, but I'm very loose about formalities so as long as you don't start screaming and demanding that I do things then you can say whatever you want.
