Master At Arms Report

First off I'll probably be making some sort of competition for creating nifty banners in the few reports I do (depending on how lazy I feel :P)

Secondly, if you have a problem with a denial I do then please come to me in a calm and logical manner. That will get you very far with me as I will in kind reply to any questions you have and work with you. However it is not in your best interest to just PM me on IRC or email me and tell me that I'm an asshole/idiot and how your point of view is the only right one. Not only will that damage your stance in the first place, but it won't motivate me to reply to you all that quickly and even then my reply will be nothing but terse.

My good rec's project is still sitting on the Policies and Projects section of the database, I suggest that those with awarding capabilities read it. It really will help you to get your medals/promotions rec's to go through.

Good Rec's Document

The MAA staff is working on fictional promotion ceremonies that can be used by every clan for all journeyman ranks. Braecen is doing the initial write-ups and Aabsdu and I are the editors. Look for those to be done before the summer

The staff and I are also working on a rough guideline for the Equite ranks. I hope to have that out before the GJW ends

I'm also going to work on the crescent descriptions for the "less than three participants" portion since I know how confusing it sounds :P

Well that's the end of my little blurb

maybe a 'how to write a reccomendation' course on the SA?

Ylith

I don't think that one topic is worth making a whole course about, but a Master at Arms course might be something we look into in the future.

Eh. In my opinion there's no need for either.

For the first, there's a document telling you how to improve and what guidelines to follow. That's all you need. Why make a course out of it?

For the second...not everyone is going to be the MAA. :P Kinda makes it silly to make a course for that in general. There mayhaps should be a course like that when the MAA is choosing a Praetor, and have the course as one of the requirements...but other then that it's kinda silly.

Maybe not an MAA course, but possibly a general in depth dc course, so people know more accurately what each dc member and his staff do?

Well,

The workings of the chamber of justice are also a course in the academy. Offcource the chamber of justice is a complicated bureau in the brotherhood, but so is the dark council. Most people have a basic idea of what all the councillers do but maybe a more indept view would bring them more respect.

Let me tell you there Dace, no one will respect the MAA's office nor the person who holds the position. The nature of this job will always earn me and future MAA's enemies :P
