</td> </tr> <tr> <td> This Week</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> DCM</td> </tr> <tr> <td> After a deep consideration of the matter, the search for a new Deputy Combat Master is underway. I have contacted the usual suspects before I decide if the opportunity will be open to the whole of the club. I'll keep you posted...</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Position Openings</td> </tr> <tr> <td> Apart from that, however, I am opening the other positions to applications. Judges, Trainers and Live! Judges. I am not going to overstate "individula" requirements this time, pretty much because there's no one left who could fulfill them, LOL. Seriously, there's almost no point if you can be trained...a few of our best staff members, in the past, started with little actual experience, but had a decent knowledge of the centre and good training. With that being said, I do have a few, miniscule requirements...</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> *Note: Present staff members may use this open invitation to "apply-out" of their present job if they're seeking something different.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Who may apply?

  • Any qualified (CL:1+) members of the ACC with an approved Character Sheet

Apply for a position!

  • Tell me which position you are applying for. You cannot apply for all three at once, so pick one - if you don't, your app will be ignored; we have no room for indecisiveness (consider what the jobs entail...sheesh :P).

  • We will use a "ladder" on you anyway; if you apply to be a Trainer but don't seem to have the wherewithal yet, you'll possibly be offered a position as a Judge. If you apply for a Judge spot but don't have the chops yet, you may see a Live! Judge offer...unfortunately, there's nothing after Live! Judge, so you may just get a "thanks for applying". This is not a system of job importance, it is that of workload and scope of responsibility; it's common knowledge here that the workload scale goes like this: Trainers then Judges then Live! Judges. Live! Judges have become Judges over time; Judges have become Trainers and Trainers have become Magistrates, Deputy's and Combat Masters.

  • You have the right to turn down the 'secondary' offer as we have the right not to hire you.

In the application include;

  • Your ID line (minus SA, Awards and Medals)

  • Your PIN

  • A bit about yourself, both you AND your character

  • Why you 'think' you'd be good for the position you're applying for

  • A quoted recommendation from your QUA or CON (include their ID line)

  • *There is NO writing example requirement, so make sure you mind every jot and tiddle in what you are providing

The application process

  • Attach the application to the email as a separate document (Word .doc is preferred); include your ID line and PIN in the email

  • Sell yourself! Dress the application to impress!

  • Keep it concise! I'm not asking for anything that could be reasonably stretched to 25 pages - so don't do it :P

  • With no writing example required this time, it would be extremely wise for you to proof read and spell check your application

Send applications to the Combat Master, the Magistrate to the Combat Master and ONE staff member who is of the position you're applying for; i.e. if you're applying for a Judge position, also include one of the Judges in the mail (Do not mail Brujah, even though he's listed as a Judge). If you're already on staff, skip this part. </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> PCHL</td> </tr> <tr> <td> As soon as the ACCLive! Ladder is complete, we will see the next Piloting Championship Ladder begin its preliminary set-up; that means signups will be open and all of that stuff. The Live! Ladder will probably see completion next week, so there's yer heads up :)</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> ACCLive!</td> </tr> <tr> <td> Well, we kinda knocked the cob-webs off of this, but not entirely. We didn't have a great turn out, but I'm not disappointed by it - in fact, I expected it. Nevertheless, we did what we needed to do on our end - get re-familiar with the system and what we needed to accomplish before we went into hibernation for the RoS. Maybe one more ladder and we'll have a good handle on where we need to go - what I'd really like to find is someone whose a guru with mIRC scripts - so, if you're out there, drop me a line - there may be an M:CM spot in it for ya.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr>

</tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> We had a few competition requests come in recently, which is good to see. Yet, I must remind you that I will not hunt you down - if you are asked to accomplish a few more things or provide more information, that is the last you'll hear from me until you provide it. If a nice 14 day window comes and goes before you provide said information, your competition will probably be delayed or not be allowed to run at all until the specifics are worked out. Those competitions that go off without a hitch are usually from those who have read Chapter 11 of the ACC Compendium in its entirety and followed the directions; winging it = delays.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>

What ever happened to the Co-op tournament?

It got sidetracked due to scheduling conflicts; it's still "waiting to go" but I don't want to run it and have something like an RoS or GJW jump in the middle of it :)
