1) Sith Battlemaster Starrett is the new Commander of Mando'ad Vode. Starrett has run a motto competition for the Battleteam and the new motto is: Comradeship is the way to victory - Consors est via ad victoriam. The motto was suggested by My Apprentice, JH Kalak Ragnose.
2) Syphoc Rilkel has been promoted to Dark Jedi Knight! Yay!
3) Also remember that I am still accepting entries to the House Art Gallery and Library (http://www.acclivisdraco.darkjedibrotherhood.com/gallery.php). Your pieces do not have to be Star Wars-related, but it's probably a good idea if they are. They don't have to be "good" or "bad". Nothing "inappropriate" will be accepted - use your own judgement. ;)
4) HAD's Lucien is the new Knight Commander of the Brotherhood ("KCB")! Congrats!
ORDER OF THE DRAGON:
(Due to the GJW and Braecen's nagging to write for the fiction events, I was unable to write a small story for this. In the near future, I will think out a way to personalize this induction though.)
Yeldarb Vohkou completed nineteen Shadow Academy courses throughout the month of July. He also earned a Dark Cross, a Scroll of Indoctrination, and twenty Clusters of Fire. So far, he has played 31 JO/JA/JK matches for the GJW, completed two stories for the GJW fiction events, and participated in the "Whites of Their Eyes" graphics competition.

As a swimmer, I know about this topic a bit.
Pace yourself.
CSP has just rocked the first and second weeks of the GJW. But can we keep it up? Yes, we can, if we avoid burn-out.
How do we avoid burn-out? We need to make sure that we are having fun. If you're having fun, you won't get burnt-out.
Simple as that.
As Consul Braecen stated in his report:
Some of you may be familiar with the adage "It is not a sprint, it is a marathon." No statement could be more true of this event... a six week long, Brotherhood-wide Vendetta... it is the ultimate test of consistency. I implore each of you to continue delivering those much needed points! If you cannot game, I beg of you to continue feeding our war effort with those fiction submissions. Every bit counts!!!
This vendetta is a marathon. For those who don't know, marathons are very long running races that go a little over twenty-six miles.

Coaches recommend trying to maintain as steady a pace as possible when running a marathon. Many novice runners make the mistake of trying to "bank time" early in the race by starting with a quicker pace than they can actually hope to maintain for the entire race. This strategy can backfire, leaving the runner without enough energy to complete the race or causing the runner to cramp. Therefore, some coaches advise novice runners to start out slower than their average goal pace to save energy for the second half of the race (negative splits).
We don't want to be considered "novices," so let's make sure we stay consistent and really go for it on the last two weeks!
