Site Update

I'm still waiting to hear from the SCL office.

I'll probably throw up what I have this weekend and make a nice "404" screen for the stuff that isn't ready.

DJBWiki Ramblings

Taking a cue from the JST, I figured I'd highlight the various Wiki sites that relate to the Herald. Most don't know that creating Warbanners and approving Custom Lightsabers is a hands-on task, while Robes are automated. Custom Robes are awards, and thus not a regular duty.

Kaine Mandaala is responsible for the Warbanner project and the original Custom Lightsaber policy, while Muz created the Robes (and Custom Robes). Muz also altered the Custom Lightsaber policy to extend the availablility to slightly lower ranks than previously offered.

Of course, I could not forget the people who helped make the office run smoothly through my original 5 year term and the current term. People such as Mejas Doto, Arion Sunrider, Cyris Oscura, Muz, Shin'Ichi, and Raven. These were just some of the Praetors and Magistrates who worked with me, offering their talent and opinions whenever they were needed.

Also, I was working on the Shadow Academy course for the DJBWiki when I was Tribune, but when I left to reclaim the position of HRLD I plainly forgot. I fired up my info from before and should have a decent course out to the HM by next week.

Warbanners Awarded

I didn't get to do any this week, and I haven't heard from Raven (though I know he was working on the high-rank requests).

For the SW News this week, there really isn't a whole lot out there. Conventions are going crazy.

Dragon Con comes up in about 3 weeks, and a handful of DJBers are going. I would have been among them but RL hit me in the wallet pretty hard.

Braecen told me that Wizards of the Coast put out a press release stating that they will have a booth at the Indianapolis Gen Con. They mention that they'll have SW RPG & SW Minis demos and competitions. WotC will be in Booth #2533 if you make it to Gen Con Indy!

so how did the herald wiki page turn into thanking people who helped you and why were the said people mentioned in the particular, nothing out of ordinary, no pretty pictures to look at report?

Actually he linked to the Wiki pages for Herald, Warbanners, Custom lightsabers, and Robes - then also linked to the wiki pages for the people who have assisted the Herald in completing these projects.

ah then it makes perfect sense :D
