Sapphire Squadron Report #10/6

(What, you were expecting a '1'? Fool.)

As the members of Sapphire Squadron piled in through the door of their ready room for their normal briefing, they would encounter a sight most likely considered strange outside of the Clan. Their commander, the lone Krath among them, was stood next to the podium, speaking to a seal. The seal in question, of course, was Fred.

"..know that, Fred. It's been a long time since then, blah de blah. Some things dont change with time." StarLion was saying. Fred barked in response.

"You're just trying to forget." StarLion said dismissively, much to Fred's apparant chagrin. The Priest's attention turned to the gathering members, no doubt amused by the conversation in progress.

"Alright everyone, take your seats. We're going to be very busy in a short time, and I dont need you lot coming back to me in boxes."

The Commander's Word

Man, it's been a long time since I've had to do one of these. Never really thought I'd be doing it again, truth be told.

Let me clear a few things up.... first and foremost, I don't care if you're a member of a fictitious family, a Son of Sadow, a vet with as much time in the clan as me... it doesn't mean anything to me.

Secondly, sucking up to me wont get you anywhere. You're always welcome to try, though.

I'm not here to toss out free medals or promotions. Don't ask me/hint for either one, cause it'll get you ignored, and any progress in my mind toward said medal/promotion erased. This isn't the training squadron, so "I did a bunch of quick SA tests, promote me" don't fly here.

I don't care if you like me. I've seen more people come and go, myself included, on the basis of likes/dislikes than to care. I'm here. If you don't want to be, request a transfer. I wont object to it, though you'll have to get it past the AED/QUA.

Still reading? Good. That means you're either unaffected by the above, or you're seething mad... and I'll take either one.

Activity

Well, it's been a very quiet week. I sent out that report #0 over a week ago. I have spoken to 4 of you, though only 2 answered the email as requested. Kaelin is on leave... which leaves 3 that I have not had contact with.

Those of you who have not spoken with me since that initial mail have 1 week from the date of this report to contact me in some form, or be removed from Sapphire Squadron.

Invasion of Orian

If you haven't realized that this is going on right now, you're definitely not paying attention. The battle to reclaim our worlds has begun. Many events to participate in, something for most of us. Get out there and do something! Event lists have been posted elsewhere, I won't rehash them here.

Medals/Awards

Lets see.. FL Devani picked up a Crescent with Topaz Star for cracking a joke.

Anubis picked up double-digit Cluster of Fires for his Gaming Night matches. Got enough to cover that wall of your quarters yet? ;)
