The big news this week is that the competitions first round has been extended a week to give people more of a chance to participate should they wish to. Generally activty is ok, over all exams are being passed and weve had a few promotions lately I cant help feel we can do better though, and I include myself in this. As ashia said we are all here because we want to have fun, the question then becomes is personal fun and ambition more important than the setup that enables that fun, or should it be tempered to help build for the future? I know where I stand in that regard and its something Id like you all to consider. In the short term we are fairly active people do there trials and other activities. Its expected there will always be a certain amount of drift in any group like this, so to those that feel they want to contribute, perhaps want a leadership role in the future listen to people with experience. Real change takes time; we need to start pulling together as a house. Promotions and medals are all nice. But after a while there not really that important.<o:p>/o:p

Remember leadership is an honour and a privilege, its hard work and not about quick gain. If people really want to help this house instead of thinking about personal rewards, ask yourselves if no rewards were offered would I still do this and have fun doing it?<o:p>/o:p

Id like to see members of sapphire squadron setting the example and generally show why you are meant to be elite. If anyone needs help with anything please ask me or ashia, and if there is any problems lets hear about them so we can fix them. We all need to work together here help us help you.<o:p>/o:p
