CV Report October 25th

Sorry I have been a little ill and this report is a bit behind schedule…

So lets get right into things….

AWOL Check Status: Well apparently we are all here, so I will assume the 0 participation in the last competition was just a fluke of events and timing. Okay that said.

Promotions:

None this report

Awards:

Daar Kareth : Crescent with Emerald Star, Crescent with Topaz Star,

Eludajae M’Nar: Crescent with Ruby Star, Crescent with Amethyst Star x3, Crescent with Quartz Star, Crescent with Sapphire Star, Crescent with Emerald Star, Dark Side Scroll x3

Note on Medals: I have noted that I do not always get a note when Clusters of Fire or Pendants for gaming nights are handed out, so if I am missing any gaming night awards I apologize. I simply did not receive any notice of any being handed out.

IRC:

There has been a problem with outbursts and other such events on IRC. This is not; I repeat not, limited to the current conflict you all know about so I will not go into it here. This is to ALL CV members, to remind you of the DB IRC rules.

http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/wiki/index.php?title=IRC_Guidelines

The link above is the DB IRC Wiki page containing all the updated ruled for IRC conduct and more.

Here is just a highlight of which is there:

Expected Demeanor of Operators

·Enforce the rules, but more so, be a pillar of the rules, lead by example.

·Do not be overzealous in enforcing the rules of the Channel, give fair warning before taking any action.

·If you are Away, please mark yourself so in your name, or deop yourself.

·Do not topic-flood.

Expected Demeanor of All

·Do not flood, overuse colors, use autogreets, scripts, or anything else that is annoying. (See Definition of Annoying)

·Respect all other members of the channel.

·Keep personal arguments and fights to private messages.

·Do not publicly demean someone for your own benefit.

·Do not swear excessively.

·If someone tells you to stop doing something with good reason, respect their wishes.

The above is the DB expectations of operators and all members. I suggest you all at least glance at the page especially the area below this heading.

Specifically, these are the Articles of Conduct from the Dark Covenant everyone who uses IRC should be aware of:

Everything below this heading relates to IRC conduct as discussed in the Dark Covenant our clubs rule book as it were. Familarize yourselves with this page and I am certain we will all be much more drama free in the future. If nothing else take to heart the last line from above under the Expected Demeanor of all: “If someone tells you to stop doing something with good reason, >>>>> RESPECT <<<<< their wishes.

I am certain all of you have been taught manners… Use them please.

CHAIN OF COMMAND:

A quick primer on whos who in the Clan: Each Clan has a Consul, and a Proconsul, each House has a Quaestor and an Aedile, each Battle team as a leader.

The units of a Clan are , Clan, House, Battle Team, individual members.

The flow of a complaint or concern are…First Battle Team Leader, you email them first on any problem even if they were adscent from the event..especially if they were not there, then if nothing is resolved to your liking, you take the matter to your Aedile notice I did not say Quaestor YET, if he or she does not handle the problem, THEN you goto the Quaestor, and as you travel up the chain of command you include cc’d all the leadership you have passed to that you are doing so.

The Quaestor should be the last person in the chain of command within a BTL or House level problem you have, only on problems you feel they are not or can not handle because of scope to you send information to the Proconsul, again notice I said Proconsul prior to Consul. Then finally the Consul. I am hearing too much that the Chamber of Justice is being bothered with trival matters that are house problems, that Aediles and Quaestors don’t even know about. That is both fruitless and creates an atmosphere of disrespect for your fellow house mates and leaders. Please follow this chain of command when you have a problem. If we do not know about it we can not do anything to help you.

May the Darkness Guide You through the Blinding Light,

Ludy
