Sapphire Squadron Report #3-bit

Gasp! A report that's on time this week! Something must be wrong.

-Commander's Word-

StarLion Fanmail IV: The Return of SilentLion.

StarLion pokes his head into the shot, not wearing his normal hooded robe this time. Nodding to the audience, he steps into frame... dressed in a black trenchcoat. Fred ambles in behind him, and starts to bark. Being that the system has yet to translate Seal (must get that translation circuit fixed...), the point of his barking is somewhat lost. StarLion sits, and begins to write, and the camera follows over his shoulder to read what he's writing

Greetings.

StarLion's on vacation this week, in a coma after eating far too much turkey. I'm going to answer a few of the smoldering ruins of emails he left behind.

Fred barks and hands the figure a letter. The figure rips it open, glancing it over before taping it to the camera lens so that it can be read.

"Dear StarLion,

I'm hoping that you'll do another fan mail because I really like the fanmails and so I hope that my letter will be in a fan-" the remainder of the letter is off-camera. Someone rips the letter away, to show SL's pad again

"Dear Sycophantic Fan,

Your love of StarLion is appreciated, if somewhat nauseating. As you can see, your wish was granted. So there.

Support the Spice Dealers Union Local 407, and keep writing,

SilentLion"

SL drops the letter in the 'To Be Sent' file, and moves on to the next one. He glances at it for a moment, then sticks it to the camera again. Oddly, this one is pink.

"Invoice - 15 Shipping Containers, Slate Grey. Delivery signed for on Datunda, 34 Elona 28 ABY"

this too gets ripped away by the unseen cameraman, more writing follows

"Dear Galactic Shipping Sales Department,

Thank you once again for a discreet, prompt delivery! As always, your products will be put towards good use. Please consider my future business yours.

Your faithful customer,

John Veynom"

This one goes in an envelope before being deposited in the "To Be Sent" file. At this point, SL pushes the camera back, shaking it a bit before the image suddenly goes upwards - the camera person apparantly having tripped over the quarters' bed and landed facing skywards. After a few moments the camera rights itself, to show SL standing and walking out the door, digging in his pocket for something in the process

As a parting shot, Anubis picked up a single CoF. We like to think it was symbolic and intentional.

Anubis gets his own section of the report this week. Why? During the past seven days, according to DJB.com, Anubis has been promoted to Oberst's Cabana Boy, changed his name to Ulic, deleted his profile, un-done everything in this sentence before now, and resigned from Sapphire. We wish Anubis the best, as he turns his attention to RL schoolwork. Remember that Real Life ALWAYS comes first. You know them rather rediculously worded statements on MMO's about getting away from the computer once in a while? It's not unfounded.

-AWOL-

Guess what? Noone actually responded to the AWOL check. You're all AWOL. You've got all of 24 (okay, 26) hours to send an email in saying "I did this" or "I've been on LoA for the last month", or I'll have to have you removed. I dont want to do that, but I will. So if you're reading this, and you havent sent an email, i'ma smack you.

Speaking of AWOL and activity, I've been working on cards for this little venture put forward by Sith Bloodfyre. If you're in the IRC channel, you've probably seen where i'm hiding my work. If you're a member of CNS and dont come on IRC and want to see, send me an email for a link. Ideas are always welcome, for the joke cards or the regular.

Again, noone responded to my puzzle. Shame really. Oh well. I will assume that means A: You dont want to do it. B: You wont unless you get a shiney. C: You're not aware of how to solve it. D: Some combination of A,B,C.
