Seneschal Report

Seneschal's report

Probably you noticed a change on the news. Yes - the news page sucked and it needed to be revamped. Yay for cool effects and a way more easily read newspage. By the way:golden posts are reports.

Additionally those who can do newsposts and reports will be able to click on a preview button. This makes it all more comfortable to look how your report / newspost will look like.

If you find bugs... email me.

(Edit: Thanks to Orv. He was / is a great help with his jquery stuff and his ideas for this news layout)

Among this stuff I had to fight with bugfixing and my real life (look below to find out the reason ;) ).

Lets hail Jac

My Praetor Jac Cotelin surprises me often with additional cool features and not to forget ideas and suggestions for future projects and current ones.

Thanks Jac for all your cool stuff:

  • LOA tool

  • Charsheet design

  • additionally he made the dossier charsheets faster with optimizing the code.

  • and so much more stuff (including the hatred bugfixing)

Seneschal's Real Life

What other news from the SCL office besides the already announced changes via the news, (e.g. Force Powers - wooh - this will be cool!) ? The Seneschal is a mommy now. Yes, ... in real life ;)

Welcome Krath Priestress Tarja:

So currently I am running forth and back between codng and baby. Latter is just starting to cry for food yet again. She wants to grow up fast to whack ord Sarin's Darth Babytus over her head with a book and tell her to stop those Sith Lightnings and to read much more ;)

In darkness,

Xia Long (aka Sildrin Sadow)

Congrats!

Congrats!

Congratulations on teh baby! Best of luck. :)

And sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I get this message:

error '80020009'

/dbjedi/comments.asp, line 112

when I click on the comments icon for each news post. It happens when I'm both logged in and out.

@Tarax & RevengeX:
Comment link was fixed. Additionally I added an anchor. So when you click on comments, that page will load and automatically scroll down to the comments section.

Some more comments on the new features:
Preview of news and reports: This is a layer and will be placed above the page. Nothing will be pushed downwards / upwards.

HTML / Some HTML-options and preview:
The some html-option will also show line-breaks that you added with pressing "Return".
The pure HTML-option will even remove those and only accept the
-tag to add line-breaks.

Contract / Expand all:
Yes, there is a space at the bottom between the last post and the footer image. I haven't found a good solution to fix this. I believe the browsers are too stupid to re-render the webpage again after using such javascripts. So the footer stays where it is with this huge space left.
And removing the footer image is not a solution ;)

Sil

Just wanted to say Congrats.
