There isn't a ton of things to report this time around, I expect that things will be relatively quiet until after the first of the year. The caption comp and Santa Slayer have come and gone and I have winners to announce from those two comps, we have a new member who's joined and two who have left. There are also clan-wide comps going on, plus a DC position open for applications.

I'd like to welcome Nightroad to not just Archanis, but Clan Taldryan as well. He's off to a great start - he's posted on the message boards and already has 7 Shadow Academy courses under his belt and he's already earned his first promotion too. Keep up the great work, if things keep going this way then you're really gonna go places.

I do hate to report that we've lost two members though. Kara and Ludy have decided to leave Taldryan for CSP because they felt that they'd fit in better in the other clan. Although I hate to see any active member leave, they're right. Their attitudes were not very consistent with what Taldryan values and tries to cultivate in its members and after more then a few talks with both of them it was clear that they weren't even trying to meet the expectations of the clan.

There was only one entry for the Santa Slayer comp, so that decision was very easy. Ace is the clear cut winner there. The caption comp saw a few more entries, so that decision took a bit more thinking. Here's the winners breakdown by image:

There's also a more serious fiction comp about what your character is doing at the end of the DB's fictional year. Info can be found here. There's also a funny Run-On going about a party at the clan headquarters here. Duga has also made a comp out of submitting articles to the Tal Times, so anyone with something funny to say can get a medal or two for it. Details can be found here.
