# House Caliburnus

Aedile Report

_The Aedile was tired, but happy. His workout today at the training center went fine. He felt like the lightsaber was becoming part of him.

He had activated two training droids, to warm up. One had a training lightsaber, the other had a stun blaster. Yzarc cursed himself, for selecting two droids with different weapons, as he sunk in to a Soresu stance. The Obelisk hated Form 3, as it was purely defensive, but it would help defeat the droid with the stun blaster.

The droid with the blaster fired a few shots. The Aedile knocked two of them off his lightsaber while he dodged a few others and rolled, slicing the legs of the blaster-wielding droid. He stood up and held his saber outward, in a Shii-Cho stance, ready to smash down on the droid with the lightsaber. As his blade came down, the droid raised its saber hand up. It failed to protect itself, however, as the Aedile’s blue blade sliced through the droids arm, head, and torso. It clattered to the ground with a resounding crash.

Woohoo! A report!

Ok, first up, Krath’s Tome. Xathia is running this competition for us. You can find the Run-On at http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4958. Get out there and post. Please try to get someone to proofread your post before you post it, however. Please try to keep continuity and realism. Also, double check how you portray your characters. The story is getting interesting. Please, try to get someone to proofread for you.

Next, the Tribune: Gaming’s (T:G) January competition. For all of January, get a partner, stick with them for the whole month (e-mail Shadow who your partner is at [Log in to view e-mail addresses]) and get points. Whichever team has the most points gets Crescents. Everyone will, as always get Clusters of Fire (CFs).

Go participate in the Herald’s (HRLD) Taming a Wolf competition. It’s a five page fiction, and finishes on January, 15. Competition link: here.

Fourth, the Clan Scholae Palatinae (CSP) Winter Olympics are finished! Congratulations to all who participated. There were a lot of Caliburnus entries, so let’s hope that we defeat Acclivis Draco and Dorimad Sol!

Put these two together means that you are an excellent addition to the House, Clan and Brotherhood as a whole. You can get awards for gaming, participating in competitions, or helping out your House and Clan summit. Just for your information, I put the awards for each person in order of importance (in my mind).

IRC is extremely important because it exists in real-time, or something you say is read the second you hit enter.

Other channels you should know about are:

• #dbgaming This is the channel you must be in to game on a normal gaming day.

• #outerrim This is the channel you must be in to game during the Inter-Club Training Event (ICTE)

Finally, If you’ve helped in some way with the House Facilities project, thank you, a lot! We’re going to finish it soon. We want to get it done by the end of January, but we’ll see. This will be a huge document, however, so keep your eyes open for it, too.
