<p>Has it been two weeks already? I guess so. As we continue forth in the new year a fair amount has happened in both the Clan and the Brotherhood as a whole. Let's explore it all together!

<p>The most important and pressing news is that our Proconsul, Chaos, has earned a promotion to the rank of Obelisk Exarch. This is amazing because his sheer amount of failure would technically make this promotion impossible. Since Chaos emits "pure" failure we cannot track his downward spiral with the Chaosmeter but rest assured we'll get to the bottom of this [But really, congrats Chaos!].

<p>In even more rare news our Consul, Duga, recently released a CON report. It certainly has as lot of information in it and I highly suggest that you read it if you haven't already. Since I know most of you are lazy, I have provided a link for you.

<p>While things have been sort of slow recently there will be a House feud within Taldryan in the next month or so. The various leaders and senior members of the Clan are hammering out a three (3) week or so competition that will get us warmed up for the next Rite of Supremacy. There will be Crescents galore to be had along with medals and/or promotions for exceptional activity. Stay tuned.

<p>Tarax (our taller than average Aedile) has informed me that the Dinaari Caption Competition is now over. Crescents should be out shortly and those of you who participated will have said participation noted in your activity file. See the boards for more details.

<p>Wrapping up House/Clan news ... I would like to announce that Chaos' reign as Valheru King is over. Despite the expected failure his tenure was a success as he managed to annoy some idiot from another Clan. Why this member got so upset over a "custom" species he stole from a book remains to be seen. Whatever the reason this just shows why Tal rocks and the other Clans don't ... also Shadow rules.

<p>There is some relevant DJB-wide news as well ...

<p>Aabsdu is the new Headmaster ... if you don't know who that is I don't exactly blame you but he was the Consul of those "furry" type people over in Clan Plagueis. I don't know how competent he actually is although I know he's a pretty good guy so things should work out well. As a result Sarin and Muz are taking applications for the now vacant position of Consul of Clan Plagueis. I don't expect anyone to apply and for good reason.

<p>"The Resurrection of Dominus Sicarius" which is a new competition running for the next three months at least. Our older members may remember this tradition of Dinaari but for our newer members all the information you need can be found on Dinaari's website right here. I've sent out information about it via the e-group but it basically boils down to the most active person in the House gets not only a Crescent, but the honor of being inducted into the elite ranks of Dinaari and earning themselves a silver-plated Bryar Pistol. So far the activity level this month is low so if you put in a small concentrated amount of effort you could win this very prestigious honor!

<p>As stated above, PCON Chaos has been elevated to the rank of Obelisk Exarch. Congratulate him before the failure spreads (although it may be too late).

<p>Don't know if Tarax covered this in his report last week but Halc earned himself a Crescent w/ Quartz Star for placing 3rd in Shadow's "Holiday Battle Royale" competition. Good work!

<p>Quaestor's Final Thoughts

<p>I know activity has been lower than usual and House/Clan competitions are a bit scarce right now. I'm letting people get back into the swing of things and starting in February I'll put out some more House comps for people to participate in. I blame the addicting qualities of Mass Effect but that's my own personal demon.

<p>As always, I have to plug getting on IRC. It's no secret that those who get on IRC and talk with their fellow Clan members are far more likely to succeed and get ahead in the club than those who don't get on IRC.
