ACC : Post Time Limit

ACC : Post Time Limit

Since my appointment as Combat Master, I have received a countless number of emails suggesting the implementation of a time limit. It has been brought to my attention that members often neglect to reply to their battles for weeks, even months, killing the feel of the battle, and letting their opponents wait. This problem also crowds our Halls with various forgotten battles. I have found a fair remedy.

Starting today, there will be a new limit on posting time. From now on, fighters will have 2 weeks to reply to their battles, and if not, the auto-flush system will close the battles, and a judge will give the respective win to the last warrior to post. One week was originally planned, but we can understand that some may have limited access. Certainly, one can find one of two hours to post in the ACC in two weeks though. Of course I can see you all shift in your seats right now and say “What about Leave of Absence?” If you plan that you will be away from the Brotherhood for more than two weeks and that you wish not to loose your battles, contact me, the Combat Master, to let me know. I will then close these battles temporarily.

Remember, if you believe you will not have enough time to post, don’t take on too many battles. Some will be able to take five or six battles, while some may only manage two or three. Think before challenging, or accepting.

Note that this rule does not apply to Ladder Matches, which will retain its 72 hours rule.

I thought there was a 48 hour time limit implemented when Xizor was CM? Or is that just for ladders?

Ladders were 72 hours. YOu got a warning after 84 tho

*48 i guess?

Can this be applied retroactively, please? I have a battle I accepted in September still waiting for my opponent to make his first post. =\

Nope, it can't. I think people should have 2 weeks from now no matter how long it was to reply since some aren't even around atm.

If your opponent hasn't replied until now tho, chances are he won't anymore no matter the time given.

Good idea to impose a limit. I asked Xizor to end a match for me because it was taking way too long. I think you should allow all others who are left hanging to propose a request for judgement.
