Headmaster Report #5

News

--Astronomy received an update in both the notes and exam. Capital Starship Studies also received some new exam questions, as well as an addition to the notes in the form of Brotherhood-class ships. Thanks to Welsh and Daniel Stephens for putting this stuff together.

--The big announcement this week: per the recommendation of Smoke, the Tests of Agility and Endurance have been merged into the Test of Power. As the ToA no longer receives the largest number of submissions, everything will be less complicated and much easier now. If you have already passed the ToE -OR- the ToA, you will have passed the ToP. I'm currently going through and making sure that this is so, so please don't email me asking me why you haven't passed the course yet. For those who wish to know, the ToP "officially" replaced the ToE in the campus listing, so you know where it is.

--I'm pleased to say that Blast from the Past Week was a success, with a great turnout, although it was a very easy course. A total of thirty people passed Marksmanship, which is awesome, so gratz guys. Either way, this "competition" will return, but not for at least another four or five months. Then again, I might get bored one day.

--Congrats to Legorii, the new EP of Obelisk CORE!

--Since I became Headmaster, about a month and a half ago, around four hundred courses have been passed. That's awesome, and all I can say it keep it up guys!

Projects

--Expect the Obelisk CORE to receive an update soon. An idea has also come past me about having a Dark Sage-type degree for gaming, like the writing one. It would have to be all practical, however, and intense, so if you are good at Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, Battlefront, or Empire at War and would be willing to possibly run classes once or twice a year, please email BubbaX (Dacien) and I.

--We actually have two completed courses that are ready to be released, save for being coded, but obviously we have to spread them out. As such, expect to see a new course released in the middle of March, and then the second course to be released a while after. We also have several courses and degrees in the works, plus other things, so there's plenty to keep the Shadow Academy fresh! In fact, I recently compiled a list of all SA-related projects that I'm aware of, and there were twenty-nine, so I think we're doing good, heh.

--The future of the Envoy System has been decided, and Sarin will be announcing that future come Monday, March 3rd, so stay tuned for that. I wanna go ahead and say thanks to Lucien and Anshar for helping me compile the ideas that I sent to Sarin and Muz, as well as those I "interviewed".
