Aedile Report

"Attention! General on deck!" The sergeant bellowed as Prajna Berkana intentionally clanked his boots heavily against the durasteel floor of the docking bay. one hundred stormtroopers stood before him at perfect attention. Each was evenly spaced and aligned in a ten by ten square. If these weren't the closest thing to real soldiers Dorimad Sol had been given by the Clan and Brotherhood, the Aedile would mercilessly slaughter the whole bunch. He had ordered them through vigorous training in hopes to create better troops, but scores had just come in and many had actually done worse on marksmanship since last month.

The towering Cerean stopped in front of the commander of the unit. His eyes pierced into the black lenses of the trooper's helmet. It was too bad he couldn't see the man squirm. Luckily he could sense it. Without even the crack of a smile, Prajna lifted his saber to be next to the man's head and activated the blade. The lifeless body fell into a pile almost immediately.

"From now on, you will work harder and more hours until you become the pride of the Clan. The Dark Jedi of Dorimad Sol have done so, I expect results from everyone. I will be removing and replacing failures at my discretion." A old Dark Trooper's armor marched into the room with a crispness Prajna almost smiled at, until he remembered he was trying to appear angry. The Dark Trooper, plus a single lightsaber blade hanging from his hip, stopped as he stepped up to still look small next to the giant alien Prajna had grown into. "This is Colonel Angelo Dante. I have recently assigned him to reverse the training you think you have, and install pride and proper discipline. Don't make me clarify what I will do if he must report any names to me."

The Cerean let that fear soak in for a moment. "Be thankful his patience is greater than mine. Dismissed."

So this will be my last Aedile report before opening day at Comerica Park. I have had a busier month than most of you, and you all have had a slower month than February was. My biggest project has and will be the Independence Games.

Competitions: I received no submissions or interest about my competition for writing a space battle. Not sure if the fighter setting or the 2-3 pages was more intimidating. However, based on the Jump entries, I would say it is surprisingly more the space setting that set people back. Feed back on this would be good for future events, as I still want to expand our topics to help keep people practicing their writing and expanding their imaginations.

I already have several entries for Spoils of War. It concerns a wiki stub for the Cantina we won in the Feud. I expect several more entries. Yes you too, old timer equites. And also I am talking to you, brand new Journeymen. Details are here:

Spoils of War

Activity: As I already mentioned, it has been a bit slower, and even with it being closer to two weeks than one week since my last report, less CFs have been earned. I hope everyone is relaxing a little. April through August will have few chances for us to take such a breather. Between what the Summit and DC have planned for you, we will have to prove we are as good as we say and think.

Four people were promoted this week. Korvyn is now JH, Melvin is now GRD, Bal is now PRT, and Xiphieus is an Apprentice. Congratulations everyone. It also looks like we will have several other new members coming up into the dawning of our roster.

This week I am going to highlight Daniel Stephens. He has been a member of HDS for longer than anyone else in the house, even me. He goes back to long before our times. Recently he stepped down from BTL, where Korvyn eagerly stepped in. However, the highlight this week comes from DS' efforts in the Shadow Academy. Daniel was awarded the Dark Savant for Service in the SA, having been the creator and proctor for the Astronomy exam. He continues to show his value by passing new exams to constantly fill a spot in my mail box. This week came in passing the Chamber of Justice exam with flying colors. Also, in part for his service to the past and current Headmasters, Daniel was granted a Scroll of Foundation. More on SA stuff later in the report.

Always glad to delete 50% of my emails because you all are doing so much! Keep it up and get ready for more. IGs will be number one about high activity. So do every event to score points.

Futures: So our very own Kat Pridemore has a very nice ACC competition out right now which requires researching an ACC power and then being out of the box creative with it. Force Slurpees Too bad I work at 7-11! I'll just have to be more creative... Well you all have tough competition. I already have one idea I will be writing up soon. So fight for those second and third place medals! Unless you think you can beat me... Due date is Sunday at midnight, so get this done before you go party all weekend.

Lucien has again done exactly what we need. There are two competitions out right now until a few days into April. They require extreme SA learning. I like this. I expect even more tests passed to fill my inbox by the deadlines. Go check the specifics out from the competition center!

Cerean Wisdom! Because everyone is a little racist some times...

When they've tortured and scared you for twenty odd years,

Then they expect you to pick a career,

When you can't really function you're so full of fear,

A working class hero is something to be,

A working class hero is something to be.

If you want to be a hero well just follow me.

-John Lennon

I haven't heard this song in a month, it just came to me. The meaning behind these lyrics are that sometimes it sucks to be a drone, but most people are one. The hero is those that go about proudly. Sometimes you have to show you can follow before you can lead.
