Headmaster Report #7

So, curiously, this is my first Headmaster report with no major changes, additions, removals, or any of that stuff being announced. We have plenty in the works, just not ready to be released. Still, things continue to roll forward in the halls of the Arcanum. Anyways, a really short report, so on with it!

News

--Hand-to-Hand Combat was released in my last report, and is a great reference for learning the different styles and how to write them. A link to the course can be found in the Important Links section below.

--A coding error remains that stops Dacien and I from reviewing histories, so we know that there are tons in there waiting to be reviewed, and apologize. As soon as it is fixed, we will both move in supersonic speed to review them all.

--Congrats to Jerse Remid, who was selected among a pool of applicants as the new EP of Old Republic History!

--Whoever it was on IRC that was talking with me about courses and mentioned ground vehicles, please email me. Yeah, yeah, I don't remember who it was, be quiet.

Projects

--The Obelisk CORE will be updated soon, and a new course looks like it will be released towards the end of April. After we release that course, expect a new degree in May. After going nearly three months with constant additions and changes, we have started to slow things down to one major development each month, give or take.

--For an idea of the coming months, expect another SA Course Audit to run this summer, some of you may remember the one Anshar ran. There are also some major Dark Vault improvements being discussed, but those won't come to fruition until summer either. Several clans are also working on their respective clan SA courses, so hopefully we'll get to see one or two of those released this year. Bug your clan leaders about that if you'd like to help. Kalak and I are also still working on updating all SA-related Wiki articles.

Featured Course of the Week

This report's featured course is......... the Judicial Certification Course, and right after the comments on Kir's news post too. Anyways, this isn't the easiest course out there, in fact it is probably one of the harder ones, certainly one of the longer ones, but still it is worth the read. You definitely have to write out your answers for the exam in a document for this one, but I personally learned several things about Brotherhood law when I took it, something all Brotherhood members should have an understanding of, even if it is only a basic one. It's a tenuous course, but worth it. You can find the course notes here.

Summary

  • Histories cannot be reviewed at this time, even if we wanted to

  • Congrats to EP Jerse Remid!

  • Did you talk to me about a SA course? If so, email me!

Sith Warlord Aabsdu di Plagia Dupar

Headmaster of the Brotherhood

Aabs, you could havbe them email them email their history to you and dacien for now and then when its fixed have them use the history form thing.

That would mean extra steps for all parties involved when it wouldn't lead to their history being put on their dossier any faster. They would still end up having to submit it through the database. Hopefully the error will be fixed soon, though
