Members of the Ascendant Clan,

I am going to begin with an apology. It has been two weeks since my previous report and I owe you better than that to let you know on the status and development of our Clan. The Proconsul, in large part, covers what we have accomplished and where we have been... I like to use my report to point out the direction things are going and the personal changes our leadership team provide to the flow of events. So, this report may jump around a bit... but I guarantee good information! :-p

Brotherhood News

JA/JO Training: The members of Clan Scholae Palatinae have graciously offered to help build the rudimentary skills of the gamers in the Dark Brotherhood. Leading the war effort is Jack Okason ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) and he can be contacted personally or found in the CSP IRC channel (#scholae). This is a great resource for potential activity and new skills!

Grand Master Report: Direct from the Iron Throne comes coverage on the new developments that are forthcoming and some new developments. He also hands out some prestigious awards to some of our more seasoned veterans and up-and-coming individuals! Also, he mentions that Seals of Loyalty (SoL) are soon coming!

Clan News

Recent progression in the public eye has been slow. And I wholly put that blame on my shoulders. Without the Consul there to drive new initiatives and pester-the-ever-loving-hell out of people, things tend to work on a longer timetable. However, the House Leaders were recently put to the task of mapping out a plan of action for their units. I received some solid response and believe that we will be seeing dynamic growth in both House Exar Kun and House Satal Keto in the upcoming months.

As for Clan progression... again, my fault... we have been bogged down. We have recently released the Clan Military Program and Cipher created some excellent rank graphics, as well. However, I have to get some major growth in motion with Dacien as for where we are taking that (and what comes in its wake). So keep your eyes peeled for new releases and developments as they come on-line. I will be redirecting my attention on Clan affairs for the duration of the Independence Games. So if you have not seen a lot of me or heard much from me... be warned, it is all about to change!

With Alaris moving to HSK AED, I had a vacancy at CON Aide. I plugged the hole with Vivackus immediately and we have begun sorting through some material at our disposal. In short, his training has begun and he will be assisting me in some major developments/changes in how we operate as a Clan. We are streamlining the process and creating cool new ideas! Innovation for the win!

More projects will come up (and get finished) once the Tribune:Fiction drops some of his new projects. I will be, at Sarin's request, using that as our general formula/standard.

The Message

In case you had not heard, the Independence Games are coming. This will be a massively large event that celebrates our Exodus from the Emperor's Hammer and the beginning of our independent Brotherhood history. It is not a Vendetta, but it should be approached with the same attitude and determination as one. We are Clan Plagueis, we play to win.

And we have a strategy. Admittedly, I have only led one unit to a large-scale competition win... but, ironically, it was Clan Plagueis to a First Overall in the 2005 Independence Games. So we have a title to defend! While many of us were not present for that specific campaign, I will still hold you all accountable to upholding our tradition, history and lore. But it all comes down to...

Accountability. To yourself. To your friends. To your Clan. Not only should you strive to participate in every event to benefit your own gains (potential promotions & awards), but because you owe it to the man or woman to your left and right. They all have supported you... lived and died with you... since you have joined the Clan. We are a Family and when the crunch is on... families close the ranks and viciously defend that which is theirs. And the Independence Games... those belong to the Plagueis Family. So drive yourself and those whom you know... the march back to dominance begins now.

THE FIN

We stalled over the past two weeks. That is on me. We pick up in earnest and prepare for the Independence Games. The pieces are in place, lets get hungry for a win... we can do this!

I am looking to establish a strong reserve of members whom will, at my bequest, throw themselves at projects or tasks for the betterment of the Clan. I don't have to ask my leaders for that... they already give it to me! :-)
