Tridens Quaestor Report

Greetings Tridens,

Hope each of you are well. Thanks to all those for the well wishes for my grandmother, was appreciated. Luckily, she's doing well with the new drug trial. I was done to visit her last night and she was doing okay, was a little tired though so I didn't stay too long. But let's okay she gets better, or at least some additional time.

Onto Tridens business though, I'm glad to see that we've advanced passed three months under my reign. I'm sadden though that its been so long since my last report. As many of you remember, I became burnt out with the DB not too long ago. Again, I was glad to hear from many of you on the topic and I thank each of you for your advice and best wishes. Makes me feel proud that we are so understanding of each other like a family. But that doesn't excuse my lateness with this report, and for that I apologize. Communication has always been a big issue for me, and it will continue to be so be sure that this won't happen again.

Anyways, as you may have read this saturday I will release another House Address detailing our mission statement for the next few months. For now though, let's see what we've completed in the past 3 months and highlight some important news for you all.

News

Clan Competition: Round 1 ends tonight at 11:59pm, check the mb thread for details: http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=5264

MSP, Training teams, or Solo: All journeymen need to pick a path and contact me ASAP. Remember, training teams work with a group of journeymen to earn promotions to DJK, while MSP is one on one instruction and solo is obviously by yourself (with the summit to support you).

Reopening of Battleteam Yu: So Merlance and I spoke of some time about the BTs in Tridens and I agreed to allow the reopening of Yu as an elite battleteam in Tridens. Only 7 spots (plus BTL) are available for this team. Any Equite, Solo or MSP journeymen, or elder can join. Unfortunately Training Team members can't, but will be allowed to on promotion to DJK (and these ppl will be guarenteed a spot, even if I have to open it to 12 members or a second one)

Promotions, Promotions, Promotions

Lots of promotions lately; congrats to elols, szord, cypha, mentai, and even myself. Congrats to everyone, as well as to those that received merit awards recently. Hope all of you enjoyed them. As for the rest of you, many of you are close to earning some of these for yourself so keep up the good work.

New Members

So in the past 2 weeks Tridens has been closing in on doubling our membership. Welcome to everyone that has joined us, we are glad and excited to have each of you here with us. I look forward to meeting and chatting with each of you.

Dark Brotherhood Plot

So it seems Raken has stolen my idea :P Nah, I'm jsut kidding. I wouldn't know when he started this idea of his but I'm glad to see a continuous storyline for the DB now like we have in Tridens. I certainly will be taking tips from Raken's work for our own storyline but I hope each of you will take the time to do the same for yourselves. If not to help with the Tridens storyline, then just for your own. Make sure you check out the story post he made if you haven't already.

Doni has left Tarentum

For those that haven't heard, Doni has left Tarentum for the rogues. As you all know, I'm not a bullshitter. Doni proposed an idea to the Tarentae and summits, but unfortunately he didn't enjoy our modifications to the idea to best suit our members so he decided it was best for him to leave Tarentum. I honestly don't know what to say about this, to give a better understanding. But in the end, Doni decided he no longer wished to remain in Tarentum if he didn't accept his idea. Seems selfish I know, but we all owe a lot to Doni over the years. So I say we all wish him the best wherever he goes.

New House Comp

So, as I'll explain more in detail on in my House Address, Tridens has officially cast its role within the Clan as the royal guard of the clan summit and castle tarentum. We decided this was the best course to explain our presence in the Castle. I hope you all enjoy exploring this idea. Aside from other things we have planned involving this idea, for now I'd like to bring up the idea and start with a house motto comp. Honestly, the past one no longer seemed to fit the current house as it seems Tridens has been completely reshapen under myself with an average basis of newer members so it seems to me we need a fitting motto for us and for our role as royal guards. _ House Address_

So this Saturday I'll release my new House Address. Basically it will reintroduce myself for those who just joined it, it will also have some quick announcements on where we are and where we are going both in reality and fictionally. Also, below im giving an update on some of our projects from the past few months, the house address thought will give a list of projects for the next few months. Likewise, there might also be some juicy gossip on inter-house policies. Stay tuned for it.

Projects

Rogue Recruitment

Thanks to the great work by Odin and Karel, as well as the previous teams involved in this project we have emailed over 1000 people, completed from APP-JH and are now about to start emailing DJKs+. Great work on this guys, we'll likely be done with this in a week or two and then onto an outside recruitment source.

Chronicles

I've been delayed in updating this due to the IGs and the recent Clan comp. Next week I'll have an update to the Chronicles detailing the time surrounding the IGs and time leading upto the current clan comp. This will include our new mission mandate of being the royal guard, and other things like training teams, abandonment of project X, and a new unique concept of Yridian development specificly through Tridens.

Wiki

This has been slowed more than I expected. Dock is helping me now with gather historical details about the house. I'm working on fiction develop of the past. I have several people involved in making graphics so that the house can select our official one while the others go to our fictional units and stories. I'm hoping to have this project completed by the end of June now. Sero has offered to code the page for us when we are completed so I thank him in advance for this.

Project X

As I mentioned before, this project has been abandoned and we are going with a structure im more familiar with. Problems I found with this project was that it removed the membership administrative tasks, but increased the amount of management I had to do over my summit and staff. Not only did this make more work for me, but also created a micro manager out of me which im trying to more away from. Likewise, it lacked an entire summit connection to all the members, which sucks. I liked knowing each of the people within Tridens, but project X limited the amount of connection I had with some people. And not only this but the structure was confusing to both new recruits and transferees alike as it was not officially documented in DB policies which did give us a uniqueness we wanted but kind of backfired so I've officially abandoned this. Thanks to the work of everyone involved with this project, it definitely didn't fail because of any of you.

Conclusion

Well, thats it for me for now. Like I said, the House Address will look to address much, much more. I do apologize in advance for the length it will be (likely be the same if not a little longer than my original one). But I'll make sure its interesting and fresh.

Aside from this, great job to all those who participated in the IGs and those now participating in the Clan comp. Best of luck to all of you as we wait for announcements from both.
