Clan Plagueis,

I gave everyone two weeks to read and respond to my last report. I challenged you all to set your own goals as individuals, then as a Clan... I got some interesting responses. The majority of you that replied repeated the same sentiments, "I want my Clan to be the best." Whereas a few individuals prompted me to attack, or renew my assault, on the higher ups for an auto-promotion system with better direction and guidance. Lastly, a few people brought forth some causes for change... and our Clan Leaders are in discussions to map out and complete these changes.

So, long story short, thank you for all of your feedback. I appreciate those of you whom took the time to reply.

Clan News

Fourth Overall in the Independence Games. It is a respectable turn around for a Clan that was Sixth Overall in the last DB-wide competition. It also means we have some work to do if we are going to make a bid for a higher rank. But I will discuss that in greater detail later in my report. However, for those of you whom did not know, our Clan Champion was DJK Alaris Jinn. Be sure you give it up to him next time you see him on IRC.

Godos, Derevs and Famosuses OH MY! There seems to be some confusion on who is where these days. So I thought I would... real quick like... run down the Chain of Command for everyone's benefit. The old hack is Consul (read: Braecen), Zarc is Proconsul, Alex is the HSK QUA accompanied by Alaris as HSK AED, Syphoc is HEK QUA accompanied by GodoNurok as HEK AED and our Clan Roll Master is Famosus Aspicio. Be sure to update your contacts as necessary.

Clan Competitions. We have quite a few competitions running in the Clan currently. Our Proconsul is running a Weekly Caption, we have Death Star Deluxe, Current Events and the War of Ascension starts tomorrow. Additionally, your House Leaders and their Battle Team Leaders will have more things for your to participate in. So keep up the participation!

The Message

What does it take to make a legitimate bid for First Clan? It takes people and it takes participation. Our Clan could have easily attained Third Overall in this last event, but too many of our members opted out. It was 'too hard' to make time for the event, the topics weren't 'engaging', or they wouldn't 'get anything' out of it. People, that is not how a team works. Especially if you ever want to rise above mediocracy as a Clan.

To be successful in the Great Jedi War, you have to show up as a team. And you have to make sacrifices. It may be more fun to take a Thursday night off to go see a movie, but if you are serious about your Clan not being consolidated... then you use that time to turn out a fiction entry, a small graphic entry and play about fifteen multi-player games. You do that one day a week, for six weeks, and you have done well by your Clan. Anything less is a token effort. And Taldryan is not putting forth token efforts... neither is Scholae Palatinae. And we did not set out to be Third Clan.

Think about it. Sleep on it. Do you all still believe you can make the necessary sacrifices to attain your goal?

Projects advance forward. Our Leadership Team is finding its groove. A new Prodigy is forthcoming. Your Consul is crazy. And all of you should be striving for maximum participation in every arena you can find! Believe me, I pay well for that kind of activity! :-)
