Hey guys, report time. My busy schedule has slackened a bit in the last few days, and I've gotten a lot of stuff done that I really wanted to. After a stunning streak of 27 days of work in a row, I got a lovely five day vacation. So I had a lot more time to do the stuff I needed to do, and I'll get to that in a little bit. However, I think I mentioned my big swimming race that was on the 5th, and I want to assure you all that I won :P

It was a really close race, but I touched the number 3 kid out by .21 seconds. Number five lost by...I think .8 seconds or something. So I'm definitely not Olympic bound in four years from now, but it's a very real possibility that I could win states. Now, I recently got a huge assignment for out upcoming meet, on the 12th. It's our final duel meet, and then championships start (qualifiers, semis, finals). My team is 9-0, and we are swimming against a team that is also 9-0. However, the team we are swimming against hasn't lost a meet in 17 years.

Now, my coach decided it was prudent to make me do our entire lineup. Now, think, that's 400 swimmers swimming 400 events each. Our team is huge and their team is huge. I have to analyze each swimmer and find the best spots for them to swim where they'll get us the most points against what the other team will probably swim. To give you a bit of a time reference: it took me an hour to work out just 6 kids. If I continue to go that slowly, it'll take me three days without sleep to do it :P

So I have until Saturday to put together the winning lineup. Wish me luck.

Running Projects

As always, the wiki is still my first and foremost project. The motto competition commenced today, and I am looking forward to some kickass submissions to adorn our budding team. After we have a motto, I'll put up a new competition for you guys to grab the shinies on.

Wiki Updates!

This is the main reason for my report today. Since the last report, six days ago, the Dark Orb wiki went from 4k bytes to 30k bytes. We now have a large selection of weaponry to choose from, specialized by role. There are still many edits to be made on these weapons, to widen selection and replace some of the options, but for now that is our cache of weapons.

I sent out the proposal for our armor yesterday, a four page document that was so sexy I drooled while writing it. I am still awaiting approval on the proposal before I can begin the work of putting our new gear up on the wiki and making it available to you guys. I tried to get us the coolest stuff possible, and I think you'll like it.

Also, I have all but three of the twelve Dark Orb squads finished. I've written up...41 total NPCs so far, with twelve more that need work (I'm only gonna do four of them). All we need now is Zandro's squad, Etah's squad, and Orontes' squad. I think I'm gonna write up Etah's for him, and if either of you two guys want me to do yours as well I'd be happy to.

I also typed up a quick Dark Orb Code and have that on the wiki as well, so I'd appreciate you guys to read that and give your complaints to me :) I also did a quick roll of past leaders, and that is up there as well, with the dates of their service. I'm still sorting out some logo and history details with Mejas, and I'd appreciate it if anyone found some cool logos if they would shoot them my way, so we can have as many options as possible.

Well, the Hunt has concluded, great job everyone that participated! We are now awaiting results, which should come within the next few days. Congratulations in advance to the team that brought home the gold.
