Week One of the three-way Clan Feud, "Uneasy Alliances," is coming to an end! Week Two events should be released very soon. I commend everyone who participated in Week One, but I would like to see even more participation in Week Two! Remember, if you have ANY questions about the Feud (events, the story, the run-on, etc.), please do NOT hesitate to ask a member of your House Summit (Timbal, Tra'an, and/or me)!

Uneasy Alliances...

It's been a while since I have written a report as Quaestor, so I apologize.

Welcome to the latest edition of the Revvy Report!

CLAN NEWS:

1) The big thing is the Clan Feud! Everyone in the entire Clan should participate in at least one event so that they are not removed from the roster!

2) Lucien has updated the Clan military assignments for those ranked Dark Jedi Knight or higher: Clan Scholae Palatinae Military Assignments

3) The next issue of the Royal Gazette will not be released until after the Clan Feud. Also, props to Reiden for being in charge of that since Anga has left.

4) OP Cethgus Incendia Zor-El was chosen as the next Dark Paladin. This is a fictional role that elevates him to approximately the status of an Aedile in terms of [fictional] authority.

5) In case you didn't know, CSP was first in the Independence Games 2008, and the entire Clan received 94 medals, excluding Clusters of Fire. We had almost three times as many points as the second place finisher, Clan Taldryan.

HOUSE NEWS:

1) Anga Salinas has left due to real-life reasons and has resigned from Tetrarch of Dragon Guard. I am not looking for applications right now.

2) Welcome Dondo, Rex Brannigan, and Execurus Edun to the House from the Shadow Academy!

3) Congratulations to everyone who received Seals of Remembrance for participation in the Independence Games 2008: Kalak, Lailoken, Korroth, Tra'an, Kara, Timbal, Exodius, Uzbad, Koryn, Natth a'Niel, and Laurus! Participation wasn't as high as I would have liked, but it was definitely a pretty good showing.

4) There were a few promotions: Lailoken to Guardian and both Execurus Edun and Rex Brannigan to NOV and then to ACO. Congrats and keep up the great work!

HOUSE DIRECTION:

Participation is important, but "smart" participation is even more important, and having fun is even more important. I hate to do it, but I'm going to be a little harsh here.

It's always more fun if we win, right? I don't know of a situation where it isn't.

But in order to win, we need to maximize our profit. In events like fiction, poetry, Flash games, and graphics, everyone needs to participate for the following reasons: 1) participation gets us points, 2) our opponents cannot get points because of us, and 3) they're the main events.

However, in events like the ACC, it is important that we dedicate the time and consistency that is REQUIRED to follow through with the battle and, at least, see the battle scored. Timing out in more than one ACC battle is simply unacceptable. It shows that you are either too lazy, forgetful, or not dedicated enough.

Which is more fun: seeing the battle judged with your loss or forgetting about the battle and losing it anyway?

If you made an honest effort, no one can fault you.

Our Clan had a great showing for Week One... let's raise the bar for Week Two.
