Headmaster Report #13

Welcome to another report from your local Headmaster. Mainly news and updates on projects this time around, specifically the SA audit that is nearing the final stages. On a side note, those that read my news post know I went to a Karen Traviss book signing, very interesting. Anyways, that post and images can be found here. However, here's another image special for this report:

News

--Congrats to Legorii, the new EP of Capital Starship Studies.

--We only had one submission for the July Journeymen Competition, which is extremely disappointing, even when I extended it a week. These are easy competitions for younger members that help writing and possibly award crescents, I mean, come on. Either way, congrats to Kara Rohana on getting first place. We've decided to take a break in August due to the clan feud going on right now, so we'll start back in September hopefully with more activity.

--After talking it over with a few people and getting approval from Sarin, I have decided to change the rank requirement to request a Scroll of Indoctrination from Acolyte to Protector. The reason for this is because if a recruited member reaches Protector, that shows they are more likely to stay in the Brotherhood, which is what we want to award.

--Blast from the Past Week was successful with Safe Computing. We had thirteen people pass the course over the week, pretty much all of them with perfect scores, so congrats to those that passed. The next old course will be reopened in another six months, probably sometime around Christmas.

Projects

--As I talk about in all of my reports, we have a ton of courses and degrees in the works. Many of them are close to being ready to release, but I wouldn't want to dump a bunch of new stuff on you guys at once. I would prefer to release something new every three months, but right now we have so much stuff that we're aiming to do it every two months. As the Flight degree was released in late-June, early-July, it's time for a brand new course for the Shadow Academy. Expect it to be released late-August. I only have two more reports this month, so guess one.

--The SA Audit is nearing completion. Nearly all of the audits have been sent to Dacien and I, and we will begin putting in the changes soon, I've actually made a few smaller changes already. Thanks to all those that helped out, I'll be contacting you shortly. There are a few courses that will be receiving larger facelifts, however. Wiki Basics will be completely revamped with the audit, as will the programming courses, though the latter won't be for a few more months. ACC Initiates and DB Basics are also going to be completely revamped, but again those are still in the works. The rest of the courses will receive regular audits for grammar and the like. Our main goal was to add images, hopefully to every course, so we'll see how it all looks afterwards.

Featured Course of the Report

This report's featured course is Chamber of Justice (Studies). Why? Well, first because it is an incredibly important piece of information that all members should try to take the time to read through. Sure you could read the Dark Covenant (which you should also do), but this provides more detailed information on certain aspects of it.

Second, because Kir is running a competition where he is awarding crescents to the next few people to pass the course. If that's not an easy way to earn crescents, then I don't know what is (SA Journeymen Competition). Anyways, the course is long and challenging, yes, but informative and relevant. By the way, another reason to take this course is that Kir is currently spitting out an advanced course, sweetness.
