The Wiki continues to run smoothly thanks to you, our contributing members, and the Wiki Staff.

Right now, there isn't a lot to report, but I'll try to write a report that is worth your time.

DJBWIKIPEDIAN OF THE MONTH:

The nomination and voting process is underway and should be complete by October 3rd.

To those of you who have never heard of the "DJBWikipedian of the Month" award, it is a title granted to the most active, non-Staff, member for their contributions to the Wiki. The Wiki Staff nominates members and votes on them. Although members of the Brotherhood outside of the Wiki Staff cannot vote, they may nominate people (including themselves) by sending me an email.

DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY:

QUOTES OF THE DAY:

As you may have guessed, I get most of the Quotes of the Day from IRC. Sometimes people email me funny quotes and I use those. Sometimes I make a Public Announcement. Some people consider being featured in a Quote of the Day as an honor, some as a repetitious event, and some as an insult.

Most of the time, I do not ask for permission to use a quote.

If you are featured in a Quote of the Day, and you do not like it, please contact me. Please do not blow up and say that you are going to go into gorilla/Hulk/smash/DK/godzilla/omg mode and rampage through the interwebs in order to hurt me. The Staff, including myself, does not intend to portray you in a poor light.

In the event that you change your dossier name, don't create a new account for the Wiki. In the event that you accidentally mispell your name while registering for the Wiki, and you realize afterward, don't create a new account for the Wiki. Instead, you should email me and explain your predicament. Keep the email short and sweet; a simple "Please rename the user account RebengeZ to RevengeX" would suffice.

I can rename user accounts with sheer willpower. However, I cannot delete user accounts because that requires 1000x as much willpower, and I am not that good yet.

Duplicate accounts = bad

Top Ten Wiki Reminders

Use the Show Preview button as many times as you need

Use the Save Page button once per session

Put in a category - whether for an image or the article, and make sure it exists, don't make something up.

If you upload an image, use it right away, otherwise it will be deleted if found in the Unused File bin.

Don't double redirect. That is, if you change your name, change it everywhere it's listed instead of having a number of redirects.

Don't remove Maintenance tags - only Wiki staff are permitted

I got a kick out of this joke that was featured in one of Bob's (Robert Sadow) reports:

The Primarch says, "Alright, I'll prove the Obelisk has the toughest men in the Dark Brotherhood. Apprentice, get over here!"

The Apprentice reports as ordered, "Yes sire?"

The Primarch says, "See that man over there? Kill him!"

Without hesitating, the Apprentice kills the man.

The Primarch says, "See? That man has balls!"

The Sith Warlord says, "That's nothing. Apprentice, get over here!"

The Sith Apprentice reports, "Yes, sire?"

The Warlord ays, "See that man over there? Kill him and then kill yourself."

Without blinking, the Apprentice pulls out his saber and slices the man in half, then turns the saber on himself and slices off his own head.

The Sith Warlord says, "See? Now that man has balls!"

The Krath Pontifex says, "That's nothing."

He calls to a Krath Apprentice high up on a tower, "Hey, Apprentice, jump off that tower!"

The Apprentice answers, "Excuse me, sire?"

The Pontifex repeats, "JUMP OFF THAT TOWER!"

The Apprentice replies, "F@#k you, sire!"
