After Dante had finally managed to make his way through the thousands of messages that had stacked up during Thran's last weeks as the Quaestor, Dante finally was able to going through his own messages and noticed one that stuck out from amongst the rest.

The Quaestor of House Dorimad Sol reclined in his office chair and thought about why they needed to revamp all of the security protocols with the Vong having been driven out of the Cocytus System and the other clans of the Brotherhood being fairly quiet at the moment. That only left one possibility...

Welcome to my first report as Quaestor!

Rules of HDS under Dante:

1. Have fun!

2. Submit to competitions.

3. Everyone will run competitions.

4. Be active in your own way.

5. Take SA Courses

Let's take these a step at a time.

1) Have fun!

* This means that you should be having fun while you're in the DJB.  Now, not everything will be "fun" like when you might have to work hard on a project, but you should be enjoying yourself while you're doing it or leads you to having fun.   

2) Submit to Competitions

* Competitions such as the GJW or Clan/House feuds are ways that show our House Spirit and also how we stack up against all of the others.  This is very important so let's make sure we submit to as many competitions as we are able to!  

3) Everyone will run competitions.

* Running a competition will not be limited to just leaders.  Our new Emperor has decreed that all members must run competitions in order to be promoted so let's make sure that we get lots of them out there in preparation for the upcoming Great Jedi War.  

4) Be active in your own way.

* Not everyone is a great gamer or a great writer or a great maker of graphics so don't feel down if you're not able to win every competition or even do every competition b/c you don't own the game or have a gfx program.  If you only have the time to do a certain amount of stuff, then do what you can and don't feel bad about it.   

5) Take Shadow Academy Courses

* Okay.... everyone should have multiple SA degrees as they are not hard to earn.  This is one area in which anyone can be active.  I hope to see alot more courses and degrees coming through my inbox.  

Awards:

I'll be going through the rosters every month or so looking for members who have been really active. Merit awards will be processed for those who have shown that they are living up to and exceeding the rules above. Four awards were handed out for outstanding activity this past week, and I hope to be handing out even more around Christmas time.

Promotions:

If you have earned a promotion, your recommendation will be written up and either submitted or forwarded up the chain of command. If you haven't earned one, then don't come ask me about getting promoted. The Journeymen promotion guidelines that Kaek (MAA) has put out are well rounded and give everyone a chance to make their way up the ladder.

Battleteams:

I know there is an opening for a BTL, but please be patient as we are contemplating a major revamping of how BT's work in HDS.
