Military Training Range

The field exercises were going well, Dante thought to himself as he watched the outgoing rounds impact the drone target over a thousand meters away. "Nice work, men...." said the Dark Paladin as he continued looking through the binoc's at the rest of the troopers of the 90th on the firing range.

Just as the weapons portion of the exercise was about to be completed, a massive explosion rocked the far side of the range. Medical personnel raced to the scene of the fireball, but they weren't able to get too close.

Once the smoke and flames began to go down a few hours later, the burned out hulk of an AT-TE could be scene in the distance.

"What the hell happened?" yelled Dante as he saw one of his newly refurbished vehicles melt before his eyes.

One of the range safety officers turned around in his swivel chair and responded to the Field Marshal's question with "Sir, it seems that there was an explosion in the engine compartment of the vehicle."

Dante mulled that over and retorted with "Are you telling me that an engine accident caused this?"

"No, sir.... there's no way that this could have been the result of bad machinery... the mechanics think that an improvised explosive was rigged or else it was done at the factory..." responded the officer.

"Hmmm..." Dante said almost to himself as he began to realize that this terrorist threat might really be for real.

HDS News:

1. Congrats to all of those who recently received promotions! (PJ especially!)

2. Welcome to the noobs! (Luke and Telka)

3. New Battleteam Opened! Congrats to Kosk on his taking over the new Shadow Brigands Battleteam. He'll be developing the fictional aspect of this well aged unit. For the moment, only oldies are being placed in this unit until the other two battleteams are filled to capacity.

4. Congrats to Nihil on his being named BTL of Blades of Chaos. The formerly elite team is full of people, and I hope he will do an excellent job in motivating his troopers.

5. The Clan feud will start on 28 December! Be prepared so that we will continue to show our dominance of the Clan and be named First House of CSP yet again.

Orders:

1. Fill out your new character sheet even if you don't plan on doing the ACC. This new character sheet is no longer just for the ACC, but it is a great way to flesh out your character and show everyone what you are really made of... :)

2. Take SA courses!

3. Prepare for both the GJW and the Clan Feud.

4. Participate as much as you can!

5. Have fun!
